Ok ladies, so DH & I have been talking about TTC after I graduate. We're super excited about being at that stage in our lives.
This month, I was close to two weeks late on my period. I was having bad headaches, backaches, sore boobs, and was really, really, really pissyy which is NOT normal for me. I was getting excited, but didn't say anything to anyone because I didn't want to get anyone too excited until I knew for sure. Here's the TMI part:
Yesterday morning, I woke up early to take a pregnancy test. When I got out of bed, I was super light-headed and noticed blood on the sheets where I had been. I stood up and blood was running down my leg. I felt so sick and ran to the bathroom. I have no idea if this is for sure my period because it's soooo heavy and I'm passing a lot of large clots (I'm sorry for the TMI details!!!). I'm having the worst cramps I have ever had. It's so bad that I had to go out and buy the super maxi pads (the diaper-feelin' ones) and on average have had to change them at least once every two or three hours. It's that heavy, yall.
I'm not on BC anymore; haven't been since about April. I have had a normal period since then up until now. All of them have only lasted about three days and have been super light with hardly any clots.
I'm not an idiot, I know what my period is normally. But could it be like this because I was late? Or do you think it could be a possible miscarriage? I know I should have called my doctor by now but I have had zero time to call. If it's still like this by Monday I plan on calling. What do you think?

I think that you definitely need to call your doctor if you have any doubts in your mind.
With that being said, I have been wearing pads for the past two cycles to see if it helps my endo. I have noticed that I feel like I bleed heavier using the pads than I did when I used tampons. When I wipe, there will be large clots on the toilet paper and in the toilet. So much so that last cycle I called my mom and this cycle I made Drew come look. It usually only lasts a day, maybe two, where it's heavy like that. It depends on when my period starts. I plan on asking the doctor when I go for my testing on Wednesday what is normal and what is cause for alarm.
I think you should call your doc. If nothing else, it will give you piece of mind.

I would call your doc and if they say the same thing as last time about "nothing they can do for you now..." I would find a new doc!
First, if that was the case 2 of my friends wouldn't have kids. That is a complete lie because it's only 99 % effective and like you said your antibotics would not have been as effective.
I'm really sorry you are going through this. If you are still cramping and bleeding I would definately go to the ER, or an immediate care center.
When you called your dr's office did you just talk to a nurse or a Dr? If it was a nurse, I would call back after hours and they should have an answering service and have them page the Dr. on call. If I was in your position I would just want a peice of mind.

I also think you should get a new Dr.
Health care at it's best. It pisses me off they wouldn't even schedule you for an appointment. I would call and talk to someone else and just make an appointment and say you are having problems. Don't go into details.

I would call your OB/GYN, not your dr -- first, b/c your dr's office is apparently staffed by douchbags; second, b/c your OB will know more about how to handle the situation anyway.
It sounds like you want to know if this is a m/c, and I don't blame you. I would've wanted to know in January, too, b/c if this is your second m/c, that's a really important thing to know about your body! Your OB can order beta tests to find out if you're pg, and I would think would order an ultrasound to see what's going on -- if you are pg, it could be something that I can't remember the name of ... a cyst? I can't remember. But there's something that can make you bleed in early pg but isn't a m/c.
Wait -- did you POAS? What did it do?
since this is atypical, I'd definitely try and be seen by your OB/GYN. It may or may not be a miscarriage. I have a history of passing clots when I have a period...though not regularly, but it has happened. But definitely something that should get checked out.
