Since we all were just married, I thought you girls would be the perfect people to ask this question! I made personalized memory candles for our loved ones that had passed away for the wedding. Everyone at the wedding loved the candles, and I've had many people suggest I sell the candles.
At first, I didn't think it was a great idea, but they really don't take long to make and supplies are pretty cheap, too. It seems like it would be a pretty easy at-home business. It would be a nice way to bring in a little income while I am student teaching next semester. I was thinking possibly an Etsy shop and an eBay shop. Thoughts?? Would you buy this for your wedding?? How much would you pay?? Thanks for any insights ladies.
P.S. Please be brutally honest. I need to know what you guys honestly think.

The candles aren't lit here, so they don't look quite as neat as they do when they are lit.

Here's another pic.

I hadn't thought of that. Great idea, thank you!
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.
Another good point, thanks! They really don't take very long to make as long as I have the supplies on hand, but that's definitely something to keep in mind. I also did my own unity candle, so that's another thing I might consider. I looked on Etsy and lots of people sell similar things. I suppose that's both good and bad.
They look really good--professional, even and honoring loved ones seems to be a common element of weddings these days. Give it a try, I suppose--I don't know what the cost to sell on Etsy is or anything.
I wouldn't buy one, but we didn't have unity candles, either. They just aren't my thing.
There are a lot of similar products like this on the market already. Honestly, I doubt you could make it worth you while. There are countless companies who will put your loved one's photo directly onto a candle, as well as numerous etsy stores that sell vellum wrapped vases just like yours- tight market.
Also, consider shipping. How much would it cost you to ship a vase like that?
I think you did a really great job, very pretty, but I don't think this alone is a viable business.
