The Hunger Games

Holy crapsickle that was a good book.  Has anyone read Catching Fire yet?

 Is it just as good?

  • A bunch of us have read the trilogy. I think the general consensus is that HG and CF were awesome, MJ a little less so.

  • Yes, and yes.  They get more brutal, if that's possible, but all three are page turners.

  • Excellent, thank you.

  • The plot of Hunger Games freaks me out yet every review of this book is that it's insanely good.  Hmmmmm.  And I have no idea why but I keep getting flashbacks to 1984 (which I haaaaaaaaaated) so that makes me hesitate.

  • I was completely freaked out when I started reading it because I had not read the reviews.  But I got over the concept quickly because it's so well written and the main character is very likable.

  • Yes, I've read the trilogy.  Wow.  I kind of disagree - I really liked MJ.  The whole series is amazing and as Bob mentioned at one point, I'm sad it's only three books.
