I am a fan of mamabargains on FB. The page posted a question of what word did your child say first and when.
It is horrifying
"Shrek, cause it's his favorite movie. He said it when he was about 9 months old."
" Igood yeahgood yeah yeah yeah @ 2 months"
"My first son said Hungery when he cried to eat from 2 months on, then about 3 months he said Car. He had a phase at 1 yr that everything was dada. My second son said Hi at 2 months and since has said, "all clean" (like Mo in Wall-e), cookie, good, yeah, mama & dada."
"SpongeBob - but sounded like "BobBob"
"
There is also one who said the first word was actually a complete sentence. At 9 months.
TWY SENTWA indeed.
Re: FB fan page
When my BSC BIL was with his ex who had a young baby (that he wanted to adopt when they were dating for only a few months), he swore up and down that the kid was saying "dada" at the ripe old age of 4 months.
Yeah, ok, or it is called "babbling." But whatever.
I know I've said this before but I know NOTHING about babies. 2 months? Is that even possible?
I have a friend with a 3 year old who does not know any words that aren't from the movie Cars. That kid has watched nothing but that movie (she doesn't have cable) over and over and over for the past 2 years. I'm embarrassed at how much *I* watch tv- I would die if my kids first words were a clear indication of how much I popped him in front of the tube and left him there.
No. No. not at all. And especially not a long multiword thing like that. He said "igooyayayayyagogagag" guaran-damn-ty it.Babies babble at that age. I admit it sounds like Ryker says real words. But I am not insane so I don't think they really are.
I don't know what you people are talking about. Ethan recited the Declaration of Independence just yesterday.
