So, I have a Scentsy (have had it for a few months now) and am not sure I'm loving it.... but I might be sort of using it "wrong." Ha!! Tell me how you use yours and if you like it or not!
My place seems to always smell (I have a 22 mos old and watch an 18 mos old 50 hrs a weeks - so this might as well be a daycare). When I got the Scentsy, I was excited, so I just put the whole package of scent in at once (all 8 squares) - this is what the rep said I should do for strongest smell - and it seems that they barely smelled after just a week or so. I was leaving it on all day though. I was annoyed and thought that it's a waste of money if the scents go bad so quickly.
So, I just did some reading on how to use Scentsy and found that they last 40-80 hrs. Obviously this means that I just used mine up super fast and should try new ones, right?
I just want to know if anyone else had an experience where they got the scents and thought they were not very strong after just a week or so of use, or if this is a result of my misuse.
TIA!
Re: If you use Scentsy, please come in!!
A few of my co-workers have those. They had bad luck with the scent cubes wearing out really fast. Now they just buy the warmers from Scentsy since they have a huge selection and get the scent tarts at Yankee Candle.
I have a warmer from Yankee and I get my scent tarts there too. They seem to last forever. I have a few that I've used for at least 120+ hours and they still smell as strong as when I bought them.

Keep in mind that you also get use to scents over time. That is why when people's homes smell (like dog, for example) they don't smell it. Or people who have B.O. don't know/smell it.
I LOVE scents around the home and in my car... when I can no longer smell it my friends say "Oh wow, I love that scent!!" .... they still smell it! This happens to me no matter what I use... Scentsy (which I love), Yankee Candle, Bath and Body Works, etc... I notice the smell right when I put in a new one... but after only a few days my nose gets use to it and I don't smell it any longer. But even a month later, I have guests over who "love the scent" and they smell it just how I did on the first day!
I use two blocks of the Scentsy and when it's done I pour it back in. I'm sure it does lose some smell over time, and doesn't keep it forever... but it may be your nose at first, playing tricks on you.
Yup. Heat it up to make it liquid and then just dump it in the trash and wipe it with a paper towel. Have the paper towel ready though, once you dump it the sides cool and harden fast.
