What a fabulous weekend! It is everything I wanted it to be and more. I was able to simultaneously relax, catch up on much-needed housecleaning and laundry, quality time with the mister, made some great meals, saw The Social Network (which I do recommend), and was just able to feel caught up on life in preparation for a super busy week (well, weeks plural).
How are your weekends?

Sounds like an awesome weekend mames! We haven't gotten a ton accomplished, but I did do Alex's laundry and clean the nursery, and DH finally got the pool out of the backyard and will hopefully mow the lawn after the Lions v Packers game. Still need to do our laundry and clean the rest of the house though. Meals have been good too. The Next Iron Chef motivated DH to make an amazing steak dinner last night.
Leigha - why did you save the "work" for the end?
vh - yay for steak!
I just started a pot of chili (first in months!) Dear Weekend, please don't end!!

With the exception of NC State blowing the game yesterday, it's been a fantastic weekend!
- Went out to dinner with the girls last night and had a great time.
- Went shopping today with DH and found a great pair of jeans at Lucky that both fit and were on sale. $90 jeans marked down to $29.99! It was like finding a unicorn.
Because Saturdays are for college football! And I don't like to be in the garage at night, so Friday night was out.

Sounds like everyone had a pretty good weekend.
Mine has been really good. Friday night I did alumni band at my old high school. It was actually pretty fun. I think I still have it.
I worked for a few hours yesterday morning to catch up on some stuff. Then, I met DH at his firehouse for a boot drive. They raised almost $2,600. It was also Battle Days weekend in our town, so we checked that out. They have reenactments set up of the Battle of Point Pleasant. It is actually pretty neat. I got to take a nap and watch a lot of football yesterday, too.
Today we went to lunch at my parents. It was very tasty. But, now we are back home and I am catching up on school work and getting things ready for this week.
Next weekend our kitty is getting fixed, and I have a four day weekend. So if I make it through 4 work days I will be a very happy camper.

I just got back from seeing *The Social Network.* A-MAZ-ING. Best movie I've seen all year (yes, I realize Eclipse came out this year -- trust me, my Twilight fangirling can be put aside and actual, thoughtful, intellectual taste can rule in the end).
Y'all saw the post about how my Friday/Saturday went :P
DH and I went to Ikea. We're redoing our home office.
Saturday was laundry & house cleaning day. Then we went to look at a wood stove. We want to replace ours, which is original to our 1966 home, with something more efficient & modern looking. It's so hard to find an affordable & contemporary styled wood stove. Then DH & I watched a movie & had pizza.
Sunday DH decided he wanted to take me out for breakfast, so off we went. I had a yummy blood orange mimosa & decided to order off the daily specials menu & picked chilequiles, which had no description, but I was feeling adventurous (I had no idea what they were). Well, found out they were sort of like nachos - super spicy sauce drenched chips with pulled pork, some veggies & eggs on top. Not exactly what I had in mind for breakfast, but it was tasty (even if a little too spicy for my taste). The rest of the day was super relaxing. Just finished up the laundry and made some zucchini oatmeal coffee cake.
