Goodbye old kitchen!
So I spent literally ALL day today, from 11am to 8:30pm, painting our kitchen. It used to "bloodshed red" (or that's what DH and I call it), and was just so cold and uninviting. So I painted it a "autumn gold" today. It looks good, but it looks REALLY bright. I think it's just because DH and I are so used to the dark red because one of our friends saw it and said it looks like it could be Giada's kitchen from the Food Network. I do really love the color, and we're putting up a pumpkin spice colored roman shade tomorrow, as well as chocolate brown shades and curtains in the living room (which is open and attached to the kitchen). We'll be painting the living room next! It's so nice that our house is finally starting to resemble our tastes instead of the former owner!
