Ewww- Ant all over the trash can
We moved into our house about 2 weeks ago and inherited the city trash can the previous owner had. I didn't notice the ants at first, then today I went to put another bag of trash in there and the thing is covered with ants(so gross). Trash pick up is tomorrow, so once the can is empty what is the best way to clean the whole thing out and hopefully prevent the coating of ants again on the inside? I'm thinking just attack it with the hose and let it dry out in the sun all day to kill bacteria. Do you think I should try to scrub it down a little with bleach or vinegar or something?It was seriously gross. DH is handling the garbage can for the next day or so. Yuck.
