Christmas Cards

Hey ladies!  So a friend of mine from college is a graphic designer, and I decided to have her do Christmas cards for us (it just felt like the newlywed thing to do! ha!).  Well, they are done!  I think they are so cute and I want to show everyone, but I have to wait until I send them out.....but since (even though I love you all) you won't be getting Christmas cards from us..

What do you think of them?

Re: Christmas Cards

  • Those are awesome!

I didn't use to, but DH and I agreed we needed to send them out this year for sure!  I was going to start designing mine this afternoon, actually. =]

P.S.  Did you do actual cards or postcards?

  • Aaawww they are super cute! Very well put together.

My BFF is also a graphic designer and I didn't even think to have her do Christmas cards. Thanks for the idea!

  • HI...haven't been on here in awhile...but this caught my eye!  I have done cards for the past few years but nothing with pics...so i was wondering should we put a wedding pic of us?  I see you did this, are others?  I actually have two step children who were in our wedding so was thinking of doing a collage like you, with a wedding pic of me and DH and then one of the girls or all of us?
  • I was just talking to DH about doing something like that the other day. I have always done Christmas cards and DH never has, but he agreed to this year. :)

  • I haven't done cards in the past, but this year I think we will.  I bought silver envelopes this week on clearance at The Paper Source.

I'm going to design them somehow integrating both Christmas (me) and Hanukkah (dh) without being super cheesey.  Maybe I'll make them green and orange like our wedding?

I'm using two pics -- one of DH and I goofing off and another from the wedding since not everyone's seen the wedding photos.  I like your collage idea!

  • Super cute!

We've done Christmas cards for 2 years now.  DH is very artistic, so every year he makes our Christmas cards by hand.  Last year we were popping out of a Christmas tree and my fake hand had a giant engagement ring.  It said "from the Ms -almost-"  It was was awesome.

  • Very cute!  I've always done cards and I'm sure we'll do them this year - didn't last year b/c we already had enough going on getting invites ready to go out.  In case anyone wants to do something similar, you don't have to be a graphic designer - most photo websites have options for collages.  Not knocking the GDs out there, just saying it b/c its how I've done mine in the past.
