I am in need of some good ideas for a baby shower theme and any DIY ideas for the invitation. I know some of you girls are experts in planning great parties
so I thought I'd go to the best.
My MOH is having a baby boy and she had no suggestions as to what she wanted. So I have free reign. Any good ideas or any great baby showers you've been to that I could possibly try to make happen here?
Thanks!
Re: Need ideas!
For my SIL we made dowel things with a square base and then a dowel out the top then a screw than went into the wood so that after we painted it we could hang baby clothes on them, as if they were standing up.
I know I did a poor job of explaining that but it turned out really cute and we used those for centerpieces.

I just went to a "King of the Jungle" themed baby shower. It was really cute--lots of monkey/lion/tiger motifs, a game where you had to match up the baby with the adult animal (puppy goes with dog, chick goes with chicken, etc.)
One of the neatest activities was a contest where guests had to decorate blank onesies and bibs with fabric pens, and the momma to be had to choose her favorite. We hung them on some "jungle vines" in the back yard (with clothes pins.) It was very cute.
Do the creep.
I can't remember where I saw it, but one couple lived near water and their shower had a sailing theme. "All Boy!" instead of "Ahoy!" and all that. Little wooden sailboats on each table, knot tying games, and a door prize rubber ducky game (whatever the # was on the bottom of the ducky coordinated with a numbered gift).
It was supercute.
