House Hunting!
We started looking at houses back in January- but then decided to hold off the hunt until I had a job back in the area. We put the condo up for sale on our wedding day... and the condo is now under contract! We are moving to the burbs, but we still want to be close to a train line so DH can take the train to the city for work. We looked a couple of times at the beginning of August, and had our two favorites from then. We looked again Thursday night... and came out with two different favorites. I think we were surprised we liked one better than our original favorite! We spent all day Friday e-mailing back and forth and trying to figure out which we liked better. Neither of us was 100% convinced it was THE house until we talked about it again. We are going out today to look at it again... and will hopefully put an offer down tomorrow!! I was slightly surprised that when it came down to it- the great extra living space in our current favorite (the basement is all kinds of awesome) completely outweighed the giant master bedroom/walk in closet of the other house! It didn't hurt that the current favorite is also priced considerably less. Once they have accepted an offer and it is under contract, I'll post pictures. Plus the pictures online right now do not do this house justice!
