Wedding Gown Preservation Cost?
Hi all!
What is a typical cost to preserve a gown here in Boston? I know there are a lot of factors dependent on condition, designer, etc. but I just called a cleaner and they said it would be upwards of $450!! That seems really steep, so I wondered what you all ran into when you preserved your gowns? Also, any recommendations on places to take it would be super appreciated! Thanks!!
Re: Wedding Gown Preservation Cost?
I got mine preserved through DB for $99.
I did buy my original dress but I ended up with a second one, ugh, and that's the one I preserved.
If you got your dress there, they are supposed to give you a $99 coupon. They didn't so I just called after the wedding, yelled at them and got the coupon. You could try that even if you didn't get your dress there. Haha. :-)
I would also check with your dress shop, if it's not DB, for discounts.
If everything fails, DB's price for anyone off the street is like $200. I would *never* pay $450 - that's more than my dress!!!
GL!
I've seen WedClean recommended the most. When I looked into it 2 years ago the cost was about $200. $450 seems like a lot to me. Also, if you go to a dry cleaner make sure they have experience cleaning wedding dresses.
I think mine cost about $250.
