Anyone have one? I'm trying to get away from using the little packet to make the sauce.
Re: Stir Fry Recipe?
I make a sauce (all measurements are estimates) of corn starch (1 tbsp) chicken broth (1/2 cup) soya sauce (1 tsp) honey. Vegetables are sauteed with garlic, ginger and chili flakes.
Here's the one that I use most often. I omit the rice wine, and sometimes add sherry.
1/2 cup fat-free, less-sodium chicken broth
2 tablespoons sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice wine or sake
1 tablespoon Chinese black vinegar or Worcestershire sauce
1 1/4 teaspoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon dark sesame oil
2 tablespoons minced green onions
1 1/2 tablespoons minced peeled fresh ginger
1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic (about 7 cloves)
1 teaspoon chile paste with garlic
I use Whole Foods 365 Peanut sauce as a base, and jazz it up with some red pepper flakes, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and a few drops of sesame oil. Plus a little cornstarch and water to thicken if necessary.
I do basic veggies, but I think the addition of fresh bean sprouts really makes it stir fry.
Mucho likes purple nails and purple cupcakes
This. Though now I want some peanut sauce.
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
Thanks guys!
