Where would you rather sit?

Help!!! I'm getting DH tickets to Yanni (he's dying to go, me not so much) for his birthday. The venue has basically two sections of seating - one front one back.

So we can either sit in row P which is in the front section - the seats are way off to the right side.

Or, we can sit in row Y which is much further back and towards the rear of the theater, but we'd be in the middle.

You are required to answer with your opinion :)

Re: Where would you rather sit?

  • Does the venue have a picture of the seating chart that you could post? Without seeing it, though, I would have to say "P". My favorite concert experiences have been on either side of the stage, up close. Being in the middle or front and center doesn't always work out, especially if it's level with the stage. The side seating is usually elevated, which helps with the view! MHO!!

The blue shaded area is all reserved, so it's either "P" in the right front or "y" in the back middle

  • I'm going with Section P!

  • I'd sit closer but on the side at row P since its a concert for listening (as opposed to a show with big dance/production numbers) in which case sitting on the side would be bad. That I'd rather have a full on central view.
  • I'm a back-sitter, myself. I always preferred sitting on the balcony/mezzanine at the back of the theater to being up front on the main floor. Maybe because I don't have to look up and get a headache. LOL But I guess it's up to you on which you - or your DH - think is the better spot!

  • Thank you for your participation in my poll :)

By the time I got my act together, P was no long available and it was further back and even further to the side. The guy at the theater said he would recommend Y in the center because of the acoustics in the place and I guess it's pretty small anyway so being in the back isn't exactly far away.

Glad I got on this thing to buy tickets now as they appear to be selling out like wildfire, and the show isn't til April! My hope is that it will sell out before DH's b-day and he will be really sad that we didn't get tickets and then I can bring joy back into his life.
