Minnetonka Orchard?

There is a good deal on Living Social today for Minnetonka Orchards. I thought it would be a fun/romantic thing for lars and i to do this weekend, plus, i can get some apples for pie!

Has anyone been? Is it a crazy zoo or is it okay?

Re: Minnetonka Orchard?

  • I had taken Aiden (along with his little buddy & his mom) a few weeks ago on a Thursday so I can't say how busy it was for a weekend. but I was not to impressed with the kids area I saw (petting zoo, kids play train, corn maze)

We did not pick any apples as the boys were starting to have a melt down. The little shop they had was great full of lots of fun apple yummies. It was nice & small & for $11 (including lunch) that would not be that bad & I would be willing to go back.

  • I love this orchard. I was there for a wedding, and it was fantastic. They have this little covered porch area, and a really pretty path to walk through. I think it would be quite romantic.

The directions weren't too hard either.

When we were there, pretty much all day, I saw just a few families here or there. It wasn't too crazy.

  • We've been there once and thought it was nice.  I don't recall paying anything to get in though, maybe that changed in the 2 years since we've been?

  • I've never been but, we were planning on going to Aamodts Apple Farm this weekend and the site said that "pick your own apples" is over for the season.  I wonder if it the same there?
