How much paid vacation time do you get each year? 3 weeks and I am maxed out at that.
Where are you going/planning to go in the next year? We're doing a 5-day backpacking trip this weekend. End of Dec-Beginning of Jan we are celebrating our 5 year anniversary in Peru. Next summer hoping to get out to Montana or Colorado for backpacking. We also would try and do small trip to Maryland and North Carolina to visit family and friends- but who knows if that will happen...
Where is your favorite place you've gone? I would have to say Mexico in general, I love the laid back beach vacations.
What is the one place you will never get sick of? New York City. I've only been once, but I totally see it as a place that I could spend a week every year and still not see it all and still not get sick of it... Hoping to bring DH there sometime.
How much paid vacation time do you get each year? I acrue it each pay period, I can carry about 3 weeks at a time
Where are you going/planning to go in the next year? We're going to Mexico in 2 weeks, we want to make it out to Montana to see my Gma and go tto Glacier
Where is your favorite place you've gone? Probably China. It was so neat to immerse myself in a completely different culture. I like to see the "real" side of the people and places I go.
What is the one place you will never get sick of? Home in Montana. I miss my mom and dad and wish I could be closer, but I love living here and wouldn't change it.

How much paid vacation time do you get each year? None right now, but I CANNOT WAIT to have a job with paid vacation! I am just in a temp. position for the time being.
Where are you going/planning to go in the next year? After this job is over in early Nov. I will have a few weeks off, and I am for sure going to Denver to visit a friend, but I am hoping to get another vacation on the books. DH and I need one SO bad!! We haven't been anywhere since our honeymoon.
Where is your favorite place you've gone? That is a tough call, but the only places DH and I have really been together are Hawaii and Germany, and I would say they are tied. I love them both so much!
What is the one place you will never get sick of? Hawaii. Never. It is like heaven to me.

Where are you going/planning to go in the next year? We're going to Raleigh, NC for Thanksgiving and have nothing planned yet beyond that.

Where are you going/planning to go in the next year? Ireland in March of 2011 is booked and paid for. I'd like to get back to Fort Collins next summer and I REALLY want to go to NYC because I've never been. : (
Where is your favorite place you've gone? Honestly? Bareboat sailing in the BVI but it was with an ex bf. it was a magical vacation and NOT because of the guy! just sailing lazily for 8 days on a boat is heavenly.
What is the one place you will never get sick of? My parent's cabin. I really love being up there. it's very relaxing!

How much paid vacation time do you get each year? None
. But we still manage to get away at least a few times. Like Strength, my DH is self-employed and can take off whenever he likes, but like me, it is unpaid - thus vacationing gets expensive!
Where are you going/planning to go in the next year? No where planned yet. Possibly back to the UK to see family/friends - but that isn't ever much of a vacation. If we did go, we'd try to take a few days to either go down to the West Country (Cornwall/Devon) or go to IL's place in Northern France - and then to Paris for a bit. That would certainly make it feel more "vacation-y."
Where is your favorite place you've gone? Hawaii was amazing! I didn't think I'd like it as much as I did, but I loved it!! Also - for all my complaining, I do love going back to the UK - especially when DH and I go off and explore places. Growing up, England/UK always held a certain allure for me - and now I get to go there almost every year, so as much as dealing with his family may annoy me, my heart still does do a little happy flip every time we go.
What is the one place you will never get sick of? For a quick getaway - my dad's lake house. It is "home" and will always be like a sanctuary to me.
How much paid vacation time do you get each year? As of 1/1/11 I get 6 weeks each year. And I can roll over 6 weeks each year. My goal is to be a bit stingy on taking vacation for the next year so I have about 10 - 11 weeks saved by the end of 2011 and take 6 weeks off in 2012.
Where are you going/planning to go in the next year? We may go to Germany depending on DH's job situation. Other than that, just quicky weekend trips in the summer and someplace for a few days for our anniversary.
Where is your favorite place you've gone? My family had a condo just north of Phoenix in the foothills and I loved it there. It was a great jumping off point for other areas in the southwest.
What is the one place you will never get sick of? I love exploring new places. While I'd go back to Phoenix, I'd never just stay there for a week. I'd take some day and overnight trips to the surrounding areas to explore new places.

What is the one place you will never get sick of? probably our resort in Mexico. It's such an easy, relaxing time. Other vacations are a little stressful with trying to see stuff.
I work for a metro county. The 6 weeks comes at 15 years of service with them. Although this county is smart or at least they used to be. They hooked new employees with frequent rasies and vacation bumps early. So much so that by about year 6 you realize that no one will ever match your pay or benefits and you're stuck with them. Now it's likely different with all the federal, state and local budget cuts.

Where are you going/planning to go in the next year? We're going to Mexico in 12 days. We're in the early stages of planning some other trips, too. We want to take a big trip to Europe or the UK area soon... we're thinking either the Switzerland/German/Austria area or Ireland/Northern Ireland/Scotland. We're also considering a trip to Austin, TX or Seattle, WA. There's also a theoretical long weekend to NYC kind of in the background.
