We are thinking of going to playa in mexico this winter. I saw from your post that you were there in Feb. Did you stay at an all inclusive? If so, which one and did you like it? Thanks!
Re: *bmcapra*
We have been to Playa the last 2 years (both all inclusive), so we are going to try something different this year but not sure where.
The first year we went we stayed Riu Playa Del Carmen. It was a nice hotel and very clean. The staff was friendly. The food was not that great and the entertainment was dull. If you wanted to go to the shops or clubs you had to take a taxi in.

The second year we stayed at The Royal Playa Del Carmen, this resort was adults only. The grounds were beautiful, rooms were very nice, location was great (right by 5th Ave. where all the shops and clubs are), food and drinks were amazing. The only downfall was the service. No matter how much you tipped you got the same slow service.

So jealous! I could use a warm weather vacation right now. I would not suggest snorkeling there (unless it is free), there is not much to see in the water. I also was not a huge fan of Jungle Jim's ATV/Zip line tour. Let me know what you think of Dreams, I am sure we will make our way back to Playa again in the next few years.
