paw prints on table

my cat likes to hop on our wood dining room table (when we aren't home!) i can't get the prints off the table- I've tried murphys oil, various wood cleaners, any ideas? thanks!

Re: paw prints on table

  • I'm sorry but the thought of little paw prints on a table sounds so cute. But I can't imagine why regular wood cleaner won't make it come off. It might just have to be extra elbow grease. Hope someone else is of more use than I was. Huh?

  • Have you tried using just dishsoap and warm water and then dry with a towel? The wood cleaners (especially Murphy's, Pledge, Swiffer dust and shine, etc) are probably leaving an oily residue which will leave paw prints when the cat walks on it.

My cat likes to walk around on our wood coffee table and he leaves little paw prints if he just cleaned his pads before he jumped up. I just use dishsoap and water on a sponge and they wipe right off and then I just dry the table with a dry towel when I'm done. I've learned not to use wood polish on flat surfaces that our cat likes... they just get dry dusted.
