Have you turned on your heater?
This is such a funky time of year... because in the afternoons it can get warm-ish outside, but at night it's COLD. It's about 65 in my house right now and I'm freezing. I really want to hold off on turning the heater on though.
Is yours on at night? How cold does it have to get for you to turn it on?
Re: Have you turned on your heater?
if it were up to me, it would be on, but H likes it COLD! I mean our fan is still on at night! I bundle the kids up in really really warm jammies and they each have a warm blanket so they are okay.
In our room, I have the blankets and warm clothes on and H sleeps in the nude. I told him I think he has some sort of hormonal imbalance
I turned the heat on last night - it was 68 when I got back. I didn't want to, but it was just too freaking cold. I'm sure by Wednesday though, we'll be back to just using the fans since it's supposed to warm up.
ETA: I wouldn't have turned my heat on if it was just me, but JJ is one of the wildest sleepers ever and never stays under a blanket. Even with long-sleeved PJs on, he still gets super cold at night and shivers. So, I put the heat on. Sigh.
We didn't turn the heater on last night. I lthink I sleep better when it's cold. Just love snuggling under the blankets. Although it makes it more difficult to get out of bed in the morning.
We usually wait as long as we can before we use the heater. I think I wait until the highs are in the 60s.
We usually do not turn on the heater until Thanksgiving. I LOVE to sleep when it is cold - nothing better than burrowing under the covers - love it!
We slept with our bedroom patio door open because our dumb cat escaped and we couldn't find him. I was worried he would come back and we wouldn't hear him crying at the door so I left it open. Of course, I couldn't sleep anyway because I was worried an intruder would realize the door was open and try to rob us. Sigh. It was COLD but great. I love how crisp it feels!
We didn't turn ours on last night, but I sure didn't want to crawl out of bed this morning. Too freakin' cold in our place, and the blankets were so cozy (didn't help I forgot to turn off the ceiling fan last night). Think is was about 65 in our place, too.
Needless to say, I've got my small heater going underneath my desk here at work.
I baked a lot this weekend so it didn't get too cold in the house, I don't think it even got below 70, really. Cooler in the bedroom, but I sleep better when it's cool, anyway.
If it's going to be 86 later this week, there's no way I'm turning on the heat. I hate switching back and forth. I'd rather put on a long sleeved shirt, bake something, or get a blanket than turn on the heat before the end of October.
Nope. We still have the windows open during the day. Our concession to the cooler weather has been to shut most of them at night and turn off the fans.
I usually keep the heat low (65ish when we're home) and wear a fleece jacket around the house or curl up under a blanket on the couch, so the heat won't be coming on until that doesn't keep me warm enough.
