Has anyone started yet?

I have, and most of what I give this year will be made by me or edible. Just bc a lot of the people I am giving to are out of jobs or not much to begin with. I have been checking fatwallet.com for any deals- but no luck yet.

I've written down what I am going to do. Most of my stuff will be made. We will probably buy a few things, but I have a lit of kids so I will make theirs ad I couldn't afford to buy a toy for each child on the list. We are going cheap, but not look cheap )if that makes sense)

I started on a couple things yesterday - used my cricut to make stencils for glass etching. Came out ok.

No clue what to get the hubs, need to get on him about that.

I've bought a couple of things (for the kids) that I found on clearance at Target for like $2-4. We are on a super tight Christmas budget this year, and with 7 kids in my immediate family, most of whom have a Dec./Jan. bday, it gets really tough. We're considering doing a name drawing this year, so I'm crossing my fingers!

i've found that the later you wait, the better the deals are, so as much as i want to start to get it over with, i'm waiting on the deals, coupons, and holiday mailings1

we really only give to each other, our niece/nephews, my mom, and two dirty santa type things.but I always want to give something to everyone! (all of our millions of siblings & sibling in laws, aunts, uncles, etc) the dirty santa swaps in our families were to eliminate a ton of gift giving, but it's hard for me to stick to.

I'm making homemade vanilla that i'll probably give to coworkers/neighbors. I just need to buy bottles to put it in and maybe a Christmas cookie cutter with a recipe card attached to it.

I thought about making note card sets for all the girls in the family. I've already bought a ton of fun colored envelopes if I decide to do that.

I have pretty much everything for the kids. I've been buying toys on major sale throughout the year.

I ordered one of dh's gifts yesterday b/c it went on sale.

I'd really like our budget to stay the same as every other month, so I'm trying to just buy a couple of things here and there to spread out the costs.

I actually start buying things after Christmas. Sometimes I will go to the black friday or the after Christmas sales and get things. I normally like to be finished with everything a week before Thanksgiving.
