how do you find out your actual credit score?

i pulled my annual free credit reports yesterday but how do you find out what your score is?

Re: how do you find out your actual credit score?

  • You have to choose the option to pay the extra $5-10 for your actual score.

  • is that how much it always is or only when you get your free reports?

just wondering if it's going to cost me $40 today or something. i don't really need to know it, i'm just curious. the last time i knew what it was was when i bought my first house like 6 or 7 years ago.

  • If you are able to log back in you may be able to purchase it from there.

Otherwise it's one free credit report each year per credit union.  So you could just go through again with one of the other two credit unions you didn't use and select the option to purchase your numerical score through them.

  • On a side note...I just love how they've mandated that we are allowed 1 free credit report a year from each of the three companies that keep them...but we are not allowed to see our credit score for free...seems to be that its my score I should get to have access to it when ever I want and not have to pay for it.
