What's wrong with this picture? (Long)
Remember that meeting prison I talked about last week? Well I was at work until 10:30 last night and am back up at 5 am to start the day all over again. Thank goodness the presentation is due today! AND...both my boss & I are going to a fundraiser tonight, so we HAVE to have the presentation done and submitted by 5:00. My dad is driving 60 miles go to this with me, so there's no way she can prevent me from leaving after 5:30, nor would she because that's not her style.
She was freaking out a little last night. But I think we'll be fine. She's just super anal about this stuff and I am not...at all. You have 20 slides of information to share. And you only get 30 minutes tops (which she never gets because everyone else goes over).
It's the budget plan numbers that are haunting me right now. We (the HR dept) just had to start keeping a budget two years ago and this is definitely not our forte. Not to mention that all the P&L's have Accounting put their budgets together for them and we get "raw data" out of the system and have to decipher it all and then put it into a budget! One of my 2011 initiatives is to put a process in place as to how to figure out what GL number to post on stuff and to get Accounting to put in descriptive descriptions that mean something when they dump the data into a spreadsheet. This should not be this painful - geesh!
Anyhow, that's enough of my morning rant. Sorry this was so long. I won't get on much today again, if at all, because my laptop is on an overhead most of the day. So I hope you're all having a great week! I'll catch up on everything after I am released from my prison.

Yuck! Sounds like us and assessment... we're going through an accreditation review right now, and it's a major nightmare, especially because we only have a couple of years' of good data, too.
I can't wait for 5:30 on your behalf!! I hope your dad takes you somewhere great for dinner!
