MIL just called. I let it go to voicemail, a) because I always do, and b) I am still at work and could tell that I had a student question coming (they were coming my way with that look in their eyes).
She was calling me to tell me to call Matt because she already called Matt and left him a voicemail and she wants me to tell him to check his voicemail and call her back. She wants him to take tomorrow afternoon off of work because she needs transportation to "be reviewed" at 2:00.
Ohhhhhh boy. I betcha this has something to do with the restraining order! I hope to goodness that she didn't violate it again. She's had plenty of time to get bored, what with the wedding being over and all. She's always worse during the "holiday season," which starts roughly now and continues until mid-January.

Oh dear how the heck are you going to deal with this!!!!??? You are gonna be dealing with this for a really long time UGH. Crazy and mean people never die! I know that sounds horrible but its been my experience.

That is exactly what she does! She knows that Matt is more likely to pick up for me than he is for her, and sometimes he just procrastinates on listening to her messages because they are oh so fun, so she pulls this when she has an "urgent" issue.
And I know that she is never going to die. She is "so sick," but I have no doubt whatsoever that she will be at my funeral, not the other way around.
Anyhoo, it's not a hearing about the restraining order, after all. Apparently she has to go to "be reviewed" about her welfare benefits periodically. I mean, really? What is she going to say? "Nope, I still don't feel like working"?
Katy, the restraining order is because she was harassing/stalking a former pastor of theirs. She was completely obsessed with him and just would not take the hint that he wasn't interested. He finally took out a restraining order against her. Then she tried claiming that he was obsessed with her and she kept telling everyone that he'd hacked into her computer and was sitting in her driveway with voodoo dolls and a gun. She called his superior in the denomination about it, and that violated the restraining order. Of course, so would many other things that she tried to do but was prevented from doing. She tried to have Matt and me go to his new church to spy on him for her (we refused, of course). She also tried to go to the hospital to "be with him" because "you don't just stop loving someone" when he had a surgery and she found out about it from his church's website. She has a thing about male attention.
