  • Hi Kayla!

Glad you posted this Smile. I'm so happy to have my Shakespeare test over with, but now I've got a mountain of homework calling my name for tomorrow. I feel like it's never ending. I'm so ready to student teach. I know that's going to be just as much hard work (probably more), but it at least seems useful. After being in the classroom so much for practicums, my actual classes just seem useless. I'm ready to apply everything I've learned!

We are moving mid-November, so I'm debating when I should start packing. It seems too early, but I'm so ready to get into our own place!!

  • Hello!

I'm still writing thank you notes.  Embarrassed Got 5 done today.

Work is pretty slow.  I went to the DMV at lunch to renew my license.  I didn't change my name but I still have to go there in person to take the eye exam.  Boo.

And I'm out to meet a friend in a few!

  • Hello Hello -

I haven't posted in awhile! Today I should have worked, I came into work but I spent the day surfing the internet learning about pregnancy and shopping for our Halloween Bash on the 30th. This month we are hosting 2 parties at our house - my sisters Bridal Shower and Halloween party. Lots and Lots of cleaning to get done. But I do love throwing parties, especially theme ones.

Tonight I get to go to dinner with MIL and all the SILs for a birthday celebration. We are going to the same restaurant DH and I went last night. FUN! Not really I don't really want to go. I don't care to spend too much time with those ladies these days. Just wait until they find out we are trying to have a baby. OH BOY! I know MIL doesn't think we should be trying yet because we haven't been married long and well we don't live in their snooty neighborhood. Oh and we are also getting ANOTHER puppy. In about 9 weeks we should have our new little Bloodhound. I can't wait!

Other than that life is good. We got back from our honeymoon last week. It was amazing. Pictures are up on facebook.

How has everyone been around here???

  • Hi Ladies!  I was in meetings all day.  Sitting around all day is really tiring!  I would rather be working with kiddos!

We moved this weekend into a townhouse and both DH and I cannot believe how smoothly it went and how much is unpacked and put away already!  We want to buy a new couch in the next few weeks so we are going to start shopping around.  This weekend we need to go back to our old apartment and do a final cleaning and then we will be done with that place, woohoo!

Other than that, I am looking forward to things slowing down.  I feel like we have been moving at full speed since before the wedding.  We need some down time to relax and enjoy being newlyweds!

  • Hey there! I have been trying to get things in order at home while I have the time... at the end of August, I thought for sure I had a job in my hands. Well, that didn't work out, and I haven't really been working since then. Substituting here and there, which will hopefully pick up some, and I had an interview last week, but didn't get the job.

I need to send out a couple of letters of interest to sub in other districts so that I can actually contribute financially, but I really have loved being home and am taking advantage of it while I can.

  • Tuesday was long! Our dog has a UTI and has to go out several times an hour, which is exhausting when you live in an upstairs apartment. I'm ready for her to be healthy!

Now I'm sitting at work. I did move around some stuff in our apartment, which was nice to get done.

Houses are on my mind these days. DH is thinks we will be ready by April to start looking and possibly purchase. I'm not sure, so I'm doing research and am reading "Buying a House for Dummies". Its interesting so far.

  • Hi :)  I've been MIA since I'm working on a paper due on Friday, but thought I'd get myself a little distracted since I'm struggling.  Today was such a long day teaching...testing all day :(

Right now, I've been really stressing about the class that I'm taking since its really difficult and I'm super distracted and tired all the time.  Once next week comes I'll be feeling better.

What about you?  How was your day?  Good luck with the interview!

  • Hi. :)

I had a slow day at work, but had some delicious butternut squash soup for lunch, which brightened my day.

Ran some errands, bought new pilllows for the couch, and celebrated the first fall-feeling day with a pumpkin spice latte.

Now I'd better get back to my homework.  It's like it never ends in grad school!

    Oh, and Glee tonight. :D

  • I've been sick with a sinus infection for the past week, and while the antibiotics are helping, the fact that I can't sleep 12 hours a day isn't.  School is getting better, I had my first select chorus rehearsal today and they sounded AWESOME!!!

Seussical rehearsals are good - it's nice to have an outlet.  The choreographer isn't great - the moves she gives are really stifling my theatre instincts.  A lot of times I end up looking at the director or talking with her afterwards and she agrees with me, so that at least I have the chance to make it more my own, and that I get to refresh my skills.

Oh, and Glee.  Kurt is singing and I'm a sobbing wreck.

  • I had a fairly long day at work, which started with a super long commute to work.  Yesterday it only took 40 min, today an hour 20 min??   Graded 200+ exams with coworkers, started proofing the next exam, had to attend a lecture, lunch, and checked my e-mail no less than 100 times waiting for my husband to update me on our potential house!

We met at a friends house for dinner- and got to meet their very adorable and tiny 1 month old!  He was a preemie- and is doing great.

And we got the call from the realtor that our offer and their counter offers are super close...  keep your fingers crossed.

  • We spent our tuesday getting 2 flat tires fixed on our car, we have no clue where it  or how but we were glad we didnt have to buy 2 new tires. We also ended up going for a walk down town and enjoying the beautiful fall day
