Gooooooo TWINS! It's sad that the media, as usual, looooooves the Yankees. Poo. I hope the Twins can pull out some early wins...
And of course... Randy Moss-mania! I'm thrilled! For the @Twitter people - I loved the hash tag I saw today - #Randamonium and I am hoping that it catches on. Randy Moss doesn't change my mixed Favre feelings (glad we *might* have a winning season, annoyed the Vikes aren't thinking long term with obtaining some new, young talent, disgusted by the ridiculousness that is Favre's ego) but I'm excited for the Vikes today.
Anyone else excited?

We haven't had any sports posts on here lately...we must be the only Twins/Vikes fans
The Twins definitely have a tough match-up with the Yanks, but I think they will fight hard whether they win or lose. I will for sure be watching tonight!
And as far as Moss goes, I think the whole thing is kind of comical considering so many people hated him when he left. Hopefully he proves to be worth the money.
I didn't hate him when he left... I hated how one sided the media reported him. He did a lot of great community service projects in the community - especially focusing on lower income children. I was totally ok with the strange ego (Straight cash, homey!!) that he came with... so I'm excited at the idea of him being back.

I'm with you guys, I really hope the Twins can get some good games (wins) in with the Yankees. I wish I could be at these playoff games @ TGT Field... how fun!
My feelings towards Moss: "meh". I had to ask DH last night what the big deal was with him because all I remember were the negative things. I am a Vikes fan, but I'm not a hard core fan. If this turns out to be a good thing and helps us along, woo-hoo. If not, oh well.
I am glad that he is coming back, but I agree with you....did everyone forget about when he left?! He still is a great player, and I am excited to see him and Favre together. I'm sure Favre is excited, he wanted the Packers to get him when he left the Vikings!

On another note, I was reading an article on the Fox about Moss being traded and this quote cracked me up-

As for Moss ... all I have to say is that my dear husband is going to use this example to prove that he's right in keeping all kinds of old junk in the house. He never gets rid of anything, he's such a pack rat. He still has a purple #84 jersey hanging in our closet, even though it hasn't been worn in years. I bugged him to get rid of that thing so many times, I *swore* he would never wear that jersey again. Well, now I've just been proven wrong. The jersey is relevant once again. This is not going to help my case next time I'm nagging him to get rid of old crap that he doesn't use.

I am not big into baseball, but I really hope the Twins can beat the Yankees. I hate the Yankees.
As for football, well, at my house we cheer for the Bears, so the Moss news was not well received by my H especially. (He accepted his fate as a Bears fan long ago and is well aware of how much they usually suck, but still hates the Vikings.)
I for one am most excited for the beginning of hockey season! Can't wait to get to a game.

beyond that, i don't much care about sports. i hope the twins beat the yanks just because they need to mentally. it would be GREAT for team morale. the vikes, meh, i'd rather watch the wild.
This exact same situation in my house! Ugh... just last week I tried convincing him that the dog needed something new to sleep on in the kennel...

Somehow I always knew Randy would be back. It'll make watching the Vikes more interesting for sure. We're just not really NFL people. I'm a college fan all the way. The Vikes are a team that I watch just to see what happens, but I don't really care if they win or lose.
Super excited for the Twins today! I hope we kick some Yankee booty!
