Wedding attire help
We are going to a wedding on Saturday and I *think* I found a dress to wear. The ceremony is outside at a woodsy park area and the reception is at Gale Woods Farm. I got this dress at Target and think it will work with some black tights and shoes. (Or no tights? I'm dumb when it comes to tights dos and donts) It's a thin sweater material. that's super cute! i wouldn't do black tights. i think you'll look too "dark" overall.
what shoe options do you have? i think you could do a black or nude pump or black knee boot.
You could do textured black tights, cream tights or a gray tights with that dress and black bumps, and it might look a little lighter than solid black tights.
I agree with Lily about no-tights, but totally know what you mean about the smoothed booty -- spanx it up! Target has a few other brands of shaper shorts that are also great. I got a pair of Hanes that I love.
I think you could maybe find some cute lighter brown textured tights if you're still maybe up for tights, just lighter.
Kelley had these shoes and they were super cute, they're not too high, and are from Target so they come in 11s.

These tights from Kohls are $7, and they'll probably be lighter on... still cute.
The dress is super cute though. Have fun at the wedding!

Haha Smo - I actually tried those shoes on to go with my blue Banana dress I wore to your b-day party ages ago :-) They were 10 kinds of uncomfortable on my feet though. And I think sometimes Target's size "11" are actually NOT because I can barely get them on my feet. Other times they are fine. Depends on the style I guess *shrug* Funny we both honed in on those shoes though!
KM - You're totally right, I might have to "spanx it up", I think without tights this dress might show too many lumps and bumps.
I'm not brave enough to do patterned tights or any color other than black so I think I'll go without since it's actually supposed to be pretty warm on Saturday.
I like the tights and short ankle boots that many of the models are wearing on this Ann Taylor Loft site. I think they'd look good with the dress. Very cute!
