Missy's open letter got me thinking, do you do your husband's laundry?
[Poll]
Re: Laundry Poll
I do his laundry. Although he did it while he was at home and lived on his own, I just can't stand to see it pile up. I like to do it on a regular basis and if left up to him, he would do it when he was on the last towel or pair of underwear. I guess I have spoiled him a bit.
The reason why I feel like I am so behind right now is bc we were out of town for 5 days and only did 3 loads last week before we left instead of the usual 6 or 7 I do a week. I can't imagine how many we will do when we have kids.
I do mainly because it's easier that way. We put it all in the same laundry bin, and I just do it all together. Honestly, his good clothes wouldn't last 5 minutes if I didn't do the laundry. He just throws everything in together and drys it all on high. Drives me crazy.
He will do a load of his own if he runs out of something (like underwear). He knows that if he ever complains about it not getting done or how it's done then the sh!t will hit the fan.

HE does MY laundry!
muwahahaha. i win! :oP
but if i were to do the laundry, i'd do both at once because it's more efficient and better for the earth (less loads, less electricity, less water, etc)

I do his.
I do laundry mainly on Sat when he is working, go hang out at my parents and bang 4 loads out!
All of our laundry goes together. It's easier that way otherwise it'll take me like a month to fill up a load of whites, and by then I've run out of socks.
Whoever notices it's getting full/has time washes it. Our deal is that I fold it (he hates that part) and he puts it away (I can't stand that part). Win-win.
If one of us is really busy though, the other one will just do it all. Teamwork style.
We have 2 laundry baskets in the closet, one for darks and one for whites. So we throw all of our stuff in together.
Plus, I do the kids laundry separately.
So if I did mine, then his, and then the kids laundry, I would live in the laundry room. No thanks! LOL. It's more efficient and energy saving (on me and the bills) to do our laundry together.
It's almost here! Weeeeeeee!

We have one hamper with two divisions- one for whites and on for darks. We just throw all of our stuff in together. Except for his work clothes- he is an electrician and works outside usually on traffic signals and his clothes get dirty/ get oil on them/ get fiberglass insulation on them so I don't like them with my nice work clothes. We wash his work clothes every Friday when he gets home.
Whoever has time does the laundry when it gets full. Usually me on Fridays when I don't sub. We clean the house together every Saturday morning so we'll do it together on Saturdays sometimes.

I'm with you! We do each other's laundry. H had the day off yesterday and did both of our laundry (and he even takes out all the delicates before drying and everything - he's so good!). Other times, if he's swamped, I'll do both of our laundry. It's really nice. Same goes with cooking, cleaning etc. I'm a lucky chick!

i'm slightly jealous though, because he goes to my parents' house to do laundry (they're gracious enough to let us use their w/d)... i wish i had the time to go and spend some QT with them.

Aww - that's sad that he get's to see your 'rents. We make a pilgrimage to my parent's once in a while when we don't want to spend $12 washing clothes.
On a funny note - after I went on bragging about how good H was about doing laundry, I was picking him up from work and all these kids looked at my car funny and were giggling, then I realized all the dedicates that H separated were on the top of the passenger seat right next to the window LOL so effing funny!
