Photobook

We want to make photobooks for our parents as a Christmas present. I realized that I should probably start thinking about getting those made soon.

For those of you who made photo guestbooks - what site did you use?

I'm thinking of mypublisher.

  • For our guest book, I made a hard cover book on www.mixbook.com. They had some very pretty pre-made layouts that I used. I also love www.mpix.com, but I haven't used them for an album yet, just prints. Their quality is great though.
  • for our photo guest book i used picaboo.com

  • I got a free 8x8 photo book on Shutterfly, so I made one for my grandpa.  They physical quality is alright, but the printing just isn't amazing.  And the layouts, while there are more than Kodakgallery, are very restricting.

I don't know what I'm gonna do for our parents.  I had been hoping the Shutterfly ones would be good enough, but they just don't feel archival.  I may end up doing a paper album with prints.

  • I'm in the process of using Shutterfly to make a honeymoon album.

  • I LOVE mypublisher! I used it to make a honeymoon album and an album of our non-pro wedding pics. They frequently have 2 for 1 deals, if you were going to make the exact same album for both parents. The quality of the albums I had made was incredible, especially for the price.

  • I used mypublisher, and LOVED it! It was easy to use, and the book looks great!
  • I used picaboo.com, love it! =)

  • We used mixbook.com.  We like the book but it's really only okay quality (which we knew it would be because quality is reflected in the price).  We then used adoramapix.com for our parent albums and while the price is a little steeper (still reasonable though), the quality is about 10 steps up!  The book looks so beautiful and the paper that it is printed on is thicker, making it look more like a professional book.  And, at least as of a few weeks ago, there was a special that when you sign up with the site, you get $10 off your first purchase.
