Happy Thursday!

I'm excited, today is my fake Friday!  And, since it's the Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend, I get a 4 day weekend!  Whoop!

The only crappy thing is that I have to take my car in to have my windshield replaced tomorrow.  A small little stone chip decided to turn into a huge arse crack when I hit a pot hold on Friday.

Sadly, we are still without heat at home.  Derek didn't get home from work until nearly 9:30 last night, so he just ate dinner and went to bed.  Maybe tonight, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.  Friday for sure!  At least it's going to be warmer here today.

How is everyone else?

Re: Happy Thursday!

  • I wish I was getting a long weekend... I work tonight and tomorrow night. Saturday is our Thanksgiving dinner at Paul's parents' place and Sunday we are going to a wedding. We both have to go back to work on Monday. :(
  • One more day and it's a three-day weekend for us thanks to Columbus Day.

Nothing much going on today; we're going out to lunch at work to a place called Lost Dog that has great food. I'm enjoying a cup of my pumpkin spice coffee that came in the mail last night--is it wrong to refuse to share any K-cups with my co-workers?

  • Tired.  This has been the longest week ever and we are not getting a relaxing weekend.  Saturday I have to get up early and get my meds for the IUI from the specialty pharmacy, then we are driving a hour to see someone that Jim knew in high school and hasn't really seen since (naturally I don't know them at all).  This is not either one of our things (we both have social anxiety) so I don't know what has gotten into him.  I am fully prepared to be miserable.

And yesterday we bought theatre tickets for Sunday night, so we will be in the District until > 9:30, not home until God knows when because they are working on the Metro.  And I have a doctor's appointment Monday morning and then have to go to work, because we don't take Columbus Day.

I don't know when I am going to get groceries, do laundry or any of the other things we normally do on the weekend.

  • Not to much going on here. I am working all day then Zumba tonight.

Friday night we are going to a friends house with the boys, and are going to help her carve pumpkins for Saturday night.  Saturday night she is having her reception/costume party as she got married this summer with a very small family only wedding.  I am looking forward to Saturday night because after the reception, I get to go home and sleep in my bed for a full night.  We have an overnight sitter, and it is the first time I am actually kind of excited about it. Indifferent  I think it is mainly because DH and I are truly beyond exhausted. We can't wait for them to really sleep through the night!

  • I spent the morning with the doctor and the babies, and in about 1.5 hrs I have to head work. I like 1/2 days because my kids are only in my class from 12-1:45 well today they don't have specials so they will be in the class all the day but from 1:45-2:25 we're doing puzzles and games.

I wish today was fake Friday :(

  • Good morning!

It just occurred to me that I've been without heat in my building too actually... it's controlled centrally, and the building management hasn't turned it on yet. Yup, I had to bust out the fleece pjs.

I fell off the wagon for a bit with the c25k program (went for about a week without running because of the rain) but I'm happy to report that I did the w3d2 run last night. I'm happy I did it, but it turns out that running before choir practice is NOT a good idea. I slept well though!

Today's not my fake Friday but I'm only working in the morning tomorrow before heading down to Ohio to tailgate with sreihing!

  • I have another deadline today and of course the person that I'm working with is trying his hardest to make it as complicated as possible.

On the plus side though, I'm making a pork roast in the crock pot for dinner tonight, so when I get home from work, I'll just need to make some sides and dinner will be finished. Yay for getting up early!

Okie-dokie. Potato chips or Italian fries? ;)

Hope you and your H are able to catch some time to yourselves this weekend. :)

    awww yeah!

I'm getting my hairs did tonight and I'm a little nervous. I think I'm going to do a drastic color change, since I'm so bored with my dome. And I want to look pretty for ringy.

  • Yay for Thursday! Thankfully I finished the two projects I was working on so today and tomorrow should be a bit more relaxed with time for nesting. I can't wait for the weekend so I can get some much needed rest.

    Happy Thanksgiving Canada ladies!

  • We also have Columbus Day off on Monday. I am aching to get through today and tomorrow so I can enjoy the long weekend. Although, ours is super busy, so Monday will for sure be a mellow day at home. (that never happens, but a girl can dream.)

Tonight I have yoga and then I'll be rushing home to watch Grey's Anatomy, with the Yankees game on the flip. Hopefully I can catch the tail end of it at least. Who starts a game at 6?

  • Well, Thursday is almost over (I can tell because Ed is snoring on the couch right now, so that means it is just about bed time for us!)  I don't think we have any real plans this weekend.  I may try to talk a coworker into a beer after work tomorrow afternoon, then we may go to my parents' house on Saturday to celebrate my mom's birthday (which is today).  Sunday Ed is taking Sadie bird-hunting.  Max can't go because he sucks at hunting and won't go off the path, so he and I will just hang out and read.

I do have another 7-13 miles to run this week, so I am thinking I will try to get in 4 tomorrow morning and then hopefully a long run on Saturday before my parents'...we'll see.
