They put the fun in dysfunctional!
I just found out
yesterday that loser cousin is KU but her loser BF. Neither of them
have a job, they live with his parents and she's a pretty severe pill
head. He refuses to work and doesn't have a drivers license because he
won't pay child support for the 2 kids that he already has. She claims
to be bi-polar. I think it's a misdiagnosis. IMO she has depression
and anger management/impulse control issues that she refuses to deal
with and refuses to take meds but uses the diagnosis as a reason to not
work or take care of herself. I feel so sorry for that poor baby will
be born into.
Now I get to work everyday to pay for 3 relatives to sit on their a$$es and get a check for no valid reason.
Thank goodness that I moved away from all the craziness.
Re: Family drama
I would be thanking my lucky stars that I had arm's length distance from this if I were you. At least they aren't under your roof or dipping into your wallet (beyond taxpayer duties).
Although, I think I'd be setting up an emergency "I just became legal guardian of my second cousin" fund to prepare for DCFS asking if you're available to take the baby when it's removed from their custody.
This!

I find that when we don't have family drama happening, something is usually pretty wrong. Its usually H's bro that is the center of some major catastrophe, but my sis ranks right up there, too.
I can't keep up with the stuff that goes on between his family and mine half the time.
