It's Thursday...what are you thankful for?

I'm just thankful for the fact that it's Thursday and thus one day closer to the weekend.  It's been a long week even though I only had to work 4 days.

I'm also thankful for the fact that I don't have to pack lunch this morning because I made enough lunch for the week on Tuesday.  Yay for early planning!

Re: It's Thursday...what are you thankful for?

  • Let ya know a little later. I'm hoping to be able to say that we've funded and are closing and moving tomorrow. But not yet.

Right this minute I'm thankful that my boss is letting me run my shift early, so I can stress in the privacy of my own home.

  • I'm thankful for:

    • Having a husband who supports me no matter what.
    • Working for and attending an awesome university system (a Nobel Prize in Economics last year, a Nobel Prize in Chemistry this year!)
    • Lots more, just can't think :)
    Matt loves Munkii!!!
  • I'm thankful for our friends and family.  I came home yesterday to a big box of Williams Sonoma croissants from MIL.  She wanted to recreate a little of Paris for our anniversary--so sweet!

I'm thankful that today is like my Friday before a 4-day weekend.  The boss is out tomorrow and we get Monday off for Columbus Day.  Yay!

    Aw, that is too sweet!

I'm another person who's thankful that it's almost the end of the week. This week has been a rough one!! I'm also thankful, as always, for my DH. He is the most wonderful, supportive, person I could ever ask for.

And I'm thankful for this gorgeous fall weather we are having today :)

  • There was a really sad post on the Pets board about a fairly popular pestie who had to put her dog down yesterday morning.  I don't really know her and I don't know her dog, but I was crying on and off throughout the day empathizing for her.  Didn't help that the Pets board posted poems and inspirational stories.  When I got home yesterday, Pugsly and I went for an extra long walk, played with her ball for an extra long time, snuggled a little extra... and there might have been a few extra treats in there, too. :)  I'm really thankful that my girl is in my life.  I couldn't imagine losing her.

    She's my brown eyed girl!

I'm also thankful for our new computer, which will be arriving tomorrow.  DH and I don't have cable.  All of our nightly entertainment comes from either computers (Hulu, Netflix, etc.), local TV, or computer games.  Being down to one computer in the house is tricky.

  • I'm thankful for my incredibly wonderful H.  I don't know how he puts up with me most days, but I'm so thankful that he does and keeps me on sane more often than not.

I'm thankful for my family and friends and being where I am in life, even though my job stinks, I couldn't be luckier to have what I do.  If I could just remember that when I'm stressing out and ready to throw in the towel, it would be great.  Wink

  • I'm thankful that my ILs who normally bug the crap outta me are going to still take my dog for the weekend even though she's been getting sick at night so that DH and I can take our weekend away  Sad  (don't worry, we called the vet who told us to keep an eye on it until next week and if it keeps up to bring her in)

I'm thankful that DH's counseling has been going well and that our relationship, while not 100% back on track, is at least progressing in that direction.

I'm thankful that DH and I are making enough money now for me to finally feel comfortable to quit my part time job.  I haven't had a weekend to myself without finding someone to cover for my shift or work less than 50 hours a week in 6 years!!

  • I'm thankful that I'm not officially 4 weeks from my due date...and hopeful that I won't still be pregnant then! (but don't we all wish for that?)

I'm thankful that our last shower is this weekend so we can really finish getting Liam's room ready for his arrival.

I'm thankful that it is also my niece's 5th birthday this weekend and DH and I get to take her out for lunch and shopping! I love spending time with her and am looking forward to getting to spoil her a little.

  • I'm thankful to have a husband who carries the weight financially in this deal.  I'm thankful that we can afford the nearly 9 thousand dollars worth of dental work that I need...that I have insurance to pay about half and we have the money for the rest.

Finally, I'm thankful that this is all I have to worry about in my own peronal life.  So many people have so much more bad in their lives.

My baby girl is a married woman...and now my baby girl HAS a baby girl. Time unfolds in such an amazing way. I've been blessed!

Congrats!! That is so exciting. Happy Anniversary!!!! The timing is perfect (ok...not PERFECT...but pretty awesome :)).

  • I am thankful that hubby and I can talk about anything... even the not-so-comfortable stuff. We discussed our financial situation in great length last night and figured out how to make ends meet comfortably while my real estate business gets going. It takes time and money to build a pipeline, and he is being so supportive financially and emotionally! I heart him lots.  Smile
