As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. So the bad news: they won't let us have the 10/10/10 date. We got cranky midwife today (boo!) so that dream of the hubs is out the window.
The meh TMI news: I am starting to efface but still have a long way to go. 38 weeks today so my body is doing things right on time for a normal delivery (hooray), baby is strong/healthy/fine, my blood pressure is on the high end of the normal range but considering my "weeks along" they are leaving it at normal and I don't need to be admitted for pre-e risk/tests/whatever. If my body continues at normal pace, they hopefully can just break my water to induce labor- which means no need for drugs. Fingers crossed for that!
The good news: They are booked out until Wed so that is the soonest they can see us. So on the 13th at 10 am we go in and don't leave again until Floor is born. Hopefully, same day. Realistically? Thurs or even *gulp* Fri. Ugh. I hope it's same day! Basically in 5 days I go into labor. And since we are officially booked into the ward, we won't get bumped for someone else. Woo hoo!!
This gives me this weekend free so I don't have to cancel the 2 very important invites we would have had to decline, I can finish these two projects that have been looming over me, and finish cleaning my house. AND hubby can finish off his project that is taking a couple days longer so he won't have to squeeze work in around birth/newborn. And they are closing down the freeways that connect us to Amsterdam today through Sunday- which would make our trip there and back hell.
Are we disappointed? Of course. Hubby was so keen on the 10th and we knew it was a long shot, but still- you do kinda get your hopes up. But that's the only part that isn't good news!!!
