Since Emily is away this weekend... I'll fill in. So spill your weekend plans:
Friday: Having a nice night out with the hubby. Also, trying to catch the tail end of the PHILLIES game!!!
Saturday: Hopefully painting our master bedroom since we didn't do it last weekend (whoops). It was our neighbor's 30th birthday this past week so her family is hosting a small gather in the afternoon that we were invited to and then her husband is having a party for her at night.
Sunday: Relaxing. Next week starts our invasion of our friends from Pennsylvania so we need to start cleaning up and getting ready for the next few weekends of out-of-town guests!
Re: TGIF
Tonight- I am celebrating! I got a job! I applied for a job listing that was my dream job- digital marketing- and they are taking me on part time until I graduate! Just got the formal offer today! So excited!
Tomorrow- I am working on a paper all day (so ready to be done with grad school!) and my parents are coming into town, so we will all go out to eat and hang out tomorrow night.
Sunday- Quality time with the hubs. Since I'm taking this job, our quality time will be a little less, so we will cherish all we have for the next two weeks before I start.
CONGRATS! I saw it in your blog but then saw that you got some not-so-good news so I was afraid you hadn't gotten the job. So happy for you!
Yeah about the job!
Tonight: home relaxing with a netflix movie.
Saturday: Nothing planned. H NEEDS some new shorts and shirts, so I'm hoping we conquer that task.
Sunday: Coffee with (male) BFF who is coming into town from London for 20 hours. Dinner with (female) BFF's family. It will be a looooong day.
Thanks the not so good news is that I am taking on teaching a third class (I am crazy, I know) for the rest of the semester for a TA who is pregnant. I thought I would just get 1/2 of what I get paid now for teaching 2 classes...but the third class is going to paid by the hour. So I thought I would be making $500 a month....and I'm getting like $200 max. Boo for that. But yay for jobs!
Tonight: Hanging out, drinking some wine
Tomorrow: DH wants to do some shopping for upcoming hunting season, doing my last long run before the 10K next weekend, and topping the day off with Oktoberfest.
Sunday: No major plans, DH will head back out of town Sunday night.
GO! St. Louis Half Marathon-2:32:13
Omaha Half Marathon 9.23.12

Congrats on the job!
Tonight -- Hubby is cooking and we're maybe cleaning the apartment some. Perhaps grocery shopping a little more for odds and ends.
Tomorrow / Saturday -- I'll be doing laundry and finishing cleaning all day. If we don't get to the grocery store, I'll be doing that, too. Then tomorrow night we're having some friends over for a build your own chili dog bar. Then the girls are staying in and the guys are headed to the indoor gokart track!
Sunday -- Hopefully some more laundry and then watching the Chief's game somewhere. I think MIL expected me at an event that afternoon, but I'm too worn out and don't feel like spending 6 hours volunteering. I know that sound HORRIBLE on my part, but I helped out with the last two things and this week was just too darn long!
Sometime this weekend I'm also finishing up a work project... Just to start a clean slate on Monday!
Sea World is having a fantastic deal on their passes. Two years for $109! We got ours in June and love going! If you can, take the behind the scenes tour. It's only about $15 and totally worth it.
In Solvang, be sure to have some abeskievers. Yum! There are some really amazing restaurants - the hole-in-the-wall types that are fun. Oh, and some great fruit and veggie stands along the way too!
When you pass through San Clemente (just north of Pendleton) wave hello to me!
I'm totally tardy to the party.
Friday- worked
Saturday- worked as usual, and met up with an old friend that was in town to show her around the center.
Sunday- Doing a remembrance walk in Jacksonville, then dinner with another friend that is in town!
I am totally late to the party but congratulations, bigvoice!!
I was in Michigan so I mostly hung out with my mom, brother, SIL and nephews in different settings.
I also went with my mom to file for divorce from my dad. I told you ladies before about how they haven't been happy for decades but some other things have come to light and mom is totally through with him. Actually, pretty much everyone in the family and most of my parents' friends have turned against him because of things he has done and said.
So anyway, I now have a cold and can't sleep so I figured I would catch up with you girls
