May 2010 Weddings
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Let me start by saying I am VERY computer challenged. I want to put a pic in my profile that will show up with each post. How did everyone do this? I love your pics but just can't figure out how to do it
Re: Pics at end of messages
Well, let's see if I can explain this in a way that will make sense!
The first step is to upload the picture to a website. I use Shutterfly. A lot of people use Photobucket or Picasa. If you don't want to create an account anywhere, you can also use TinyPic (http://www.tinypic.com).
Once your pic is online, you want to right-click on it and select "Copy Image Location."
Back on The Nest, go into your profile and click "Edit Profile." Go down to the signature section, where you put your ticker, and put this in:
<*img src="RIGHT CLICK AND PASTE YOUR PICTURE LOCATION IN HERE AND TAKE THIS STUFF OUT" width="270px"*>
Obviously, take out my capital-letter stuff and paste your picture location in.
Also delete the * at the beginning and end. The 270 part can be adjusted up or down to resize your picture; the 270 will make it the same width as mine. Then save the changes. That should do the trick.
How is she doing? I was thinking about her the other day. Tell her I said hi.
