Lurkers come on out!

24 votes on hedgefun's poll made me think we have quite a few lurkers on here. Anyone want to come on out and introduce themselves? We don't bite! Wink

Re: Lurkers come on out!

  • I'm just going to play anyway... I don't really consider myself to be a lurker, but you guys don't know me all that well. (And maybe if I get things started, it will convince others to introduce themselves as well? Maybe?)  Anyway, I'm in my mid-20s.  I married my wife in the spring of this year, though we've considered ourselves to have been married for two years already.  No kids, though we're hoping to start TTC in 2 years or so.  Hobbies include riding horses, figure skating, tennis, and snowboarding.  I'm not sure what other information to include, so if anyone has any burning questions - just ask! :-)
  • Hi!  I lurk here and on the bump board, but I never feel like I should participate over there since we're not TTC, and this board has been dead lately.

I'm also in my mid (late? that sounds strange!) 20's.  My partner and I have been together for about six years, but we're in the process now of getting married.  I say in the process because last weekend we got legally married in Massachusetts, but we're having a real ceremony and reception with friends and family on November 6 in Minnesota.  We live in the area of NJ that is basically NYC suburbs and work in the city.  We hope to TTC sometime next year, but there are a lot of logistics to work out since we may want to move and I may want to go back to grad school.

TTC with PCOS since July 2011.

  • Kershnic...

I am also in NJ but my family is all in MN.

Congrats on the Mass. wedding and good luck with your cermony in MN

  • Kershnic: Welcome!  I lurk on the bump board also because this board hasn't been as active lately. Congratulations on the wedding!
  • Blame the inactivity of this board on Blue! Wink  Bluedaisyus can't access this board at work (but can get the Bump) so we've all sort of migrated to the Bump.

  • OK, I'll play.  Not in a ss relationship but we're queer so I lurk sometimes over here.  3 year old twins the result of 7 IUIs.  DH is trans so I feel like I keep a foot in both worlds.  I lurk on the bump too...

    Hello!

  • Hello!  Welcome jooliagoolia!
  • Another lurker from NJ here. :) We live just outside Philadelphia. My wife & I have been together 7 1/2 years, got married in DC last July, and have a daughter in the 2nd grade. We're in our late 20s. We work opposing schedules right now so it feels like we see each other about once every six months. :(

Welcome!  We're not too far from you guys (we're in Philly).  I know how you feel about hardly ever seeing each other.  Not quite the same circumstance, but my job had me in 90% travel for about a year.  I came home on weekends, but it was still terrible.

  • I'm a little late to the lurking party, but I'm here! I lurk a lot but usually don't post because I don't have much to say. My wife and I are in our early 20s, and got married in California on October 28th, 2008. Our 2nd anniversary is this month! We currently live in South/Central CA, where my wife is a PhD student, but we moved from Massachusetts, which is my home state. I am currently serving with AmeriCorps teaching reading at a local school, but I hope to go back to school for an MSW in a few years. No kids and no plans for them, although we have plenty of time for that and are somewhat interested in fostering in the future. Right now the most exciting thing in our lives is planning our belated honeymoon this summer. We're planning to go to Paris in early June! :) Nice to meet you all.... even though creepily I feel like I "know" so many of you, what with all of my lurking!

  • Hi!

I'm not a regular lurker.  I pop over on occasion, usually if there is something affecting the LGBT community on the news or in my circle.

I am not in a SS relationship.  I'm married to a man.  But I have many friends who are ss and I support overturning DOMA, passing ENDA, and generally supporting the GLBT community in attaining equal rights.

So sometimes I pop over here to see if there is any discussion on a hot topic that would give me added perspective.

    :-)

  • I'm really late on the lurker post, but I am bored at work and have decided to come on over here and read some posts :) Plus I'm not even sure if I've ever posted on here! My wife and I live in south central PA and were married in June in DC and also had a church ceremony here. And I just realized this, but I think we're officially considered in our late 20's now....scary how time flies! I've been on the Bump site too, but like others don't feel like I have anything to say since we're not TTC right now. If things go well (fingers crossed), maybe in the next few years. Hopefully things get active on here...I work from home and get bored of Facebook games quickly lately! Hope to hear from everyone soon! :)
