So I mentioned in someone else's post that I was waiting to hear if I got the teaching assignment, and I did. I am officially teaching grades 3 and 4 for the rest of the year. This will help me build up much needed experience.
I hate to complain about getting a job when they are so hard to come by these days, but teaching full time is way more work than supply teaching. I miss my free time
Teaching a split grade doesn't help matters either - much more confusing. I really love my class though, and I am looking forward to a fun year.
On another note, I feel like I am coming down with a sore throat. What should I do to keep this illness at bay?
Re: Yay for new job, boo for way more work!
Congrats on the job - that's great news!
The cold & flu & strep throat all went around my school 2 weeks ago, I managed to hold off until this weekend and I'm just getting over it now - still a bad cough but that's it! Lots of vitamin C is really all you can do!
That is great news and don't worry you'll get back into the swing of things.
Vitamin C, rest, water and Astragalus. You can find that are your local health food store. I take it soon as I start to feel ill and I never really do get fully sick.
Thanks ladies,
I am happy it's the long weekend. Time to rest and get some things done...like cleaning my house.
I feel better now. I managed to avoid really getting sick so far. Hopefully it stays away.
