My family went to a wedding yesterday at the prettiest ceremony site I think I've ever seen! The warm temps and beautiful fall colors made it absolutely breathtaking! So, if you know anyone needing a ceremony site this place is awe-some.
The aisle leading from the "Bridal Cottage" to the amphitheater. The bride walks towards you from the front - kind of neat!
Here comes the bride!
The reception was at Gale Woods Farm which was also quite spectacular on such a beautiful fall day. There were lawn games when we got there and a bon fire later in the evening. Perfect for a rustic wedding!
And now to make it so it doesn't sound like I'm just a stinky wedding vendor, here is what DH and my dad have been working on all day!
to..........
Eventually we'll have a nice new deck to replace our icky patio. Hurrah!!!
Re: Prettiest wedding yesterday!!
Yesterday was such a nice day for a wedding! I sometimes wish I had done a fall wedding. Those colors are so nice.
Totally unrelated: I don't know if you've visited our beloved dog park since you got back, but according to DH there are definitely some concrete water structures there now.
Yep. We were there a couple hours ago. It's already full of nasty dirty water and leaves with no way to dump out the gross water because everything is encased in concrete so Evil Neighbor cant move it. It's SUPER DUMB. Last week I briefly talked to the woman who seemed to be the "ringleader" of the Dog Park Gang and she didn't seem like the sharpest crayon in the box :-/
Gorgeous weekend for an outdoor wedding! Last year, we went camping at Jay Cooke SP on the weekend of Oct. 10, and it was 20 degrees and snowing--soooooo cold!
There was a wedding taking place up there that weekend. We passed the bridal party's photo session while we were on a hike, and the bride and bridesmaids in their strapless dresses were shivering and saying "ooohh...look at their nice warm coats!" Granted, the scenery was spectacular--vibrant fall colors against white snow... but COLD day for an outdoor wedding!
People who got married this weekend this year were much luckier
Oooh that would be GORGEOUS! What color were the BM dresses?
The dresses yesterday were cornflower blue with pretty yellow/orange flowers. They also wore brown cowboy boots and big chunky necklaces. The guys had steel gray suits with gorgeous striped shirts and ties. I loved it all! :-)
Cute!
I can't exactly remember the bridesmaid dress colors from that wedding last year... they were something in the burgandy-maroon-mauve palette.
Sounds like they created an awesome place to breed giardia for their dogs to ingest.
my read shelf:
I was thinking the same thing Molly. Or lepto or God knows what else! It's a breeding ground for bacteria.
Ugh, yeah. What a mess. That point makes me want to contact the city myself and let them know. It's really set up to do way more harm than good :-( d.u.m.b.
Wow. The ceremony looks absolutely beautiful. I thought our outdoor wedding at Irvine Park was amazing but now I have vendor envy with that place. I've never heard of it before.
