And Happy Columbus Day to those that get to celebrate that.
It's been a great weekend so far. We hung out at home until nearly 8pm on Friday night and then started the 2.5 hr drive to Derek's parents house. Saturday we watched the parade with his HS friends and then played card games with his family until the wee hours. Yesterday we went to his aunt's cottage (beautiful area) and had a couple of short hike with the family.
Today we're working on the house. Derek's still in bed (he needs it!) and I'm just up now getting the coffee ready and eggs prepped for breakfast. I made sure to get the ingredients for the chicken tortilla (or whatever it`s called) soup last night, so we`ll be enjoying that for dinner tonight!
How was the weekend for everyone else? Who else if off today?
Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm at work. Columbus Day is a floating holiday for us and I chose to take Veterans Day off instead. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in Canada!
I was sick all weekend but sucked it up and went to a wedding Saturday evening. I just could not be that person that RSVP's yes and doesn't show up. Other than the wedding, I laid on the couch all weekend and tried to get better.
I'm not celebrating anything today, other than another Monday at work
But Happy Thanksgiving to all of you Canadians and Happy Columbus Day to anyone who is lucky enough to get today off of work.
I had a good weekend. The weather was gorgeous. There was a big downtown festival on Saturday that entailed closing off streets and allowed for the consumption of alcohol while walking around the downtown area. They also set up a huge television so we were able to sit outside, drink, and watch the Illini game. It was a great time.
Yesterday, I worked on the house almost all day and watched some football. I finally put together a printer stand (because we no longer need a "desk" since we only have laptops) that had been sitting in a box for probably 2 months now. It looks so much better than the big computer desk that we had.
Happy Thanksgiving raynes! I'm stuck here at work today and I have school tonight. Ugh.
We got the house all cleaned and decorated for Halloween yesterday and J got the giant mountain of dirt out of the backyard yesterday. I worked Saturday so it feels like I've been here all weekend, bummer deal dude.
Happy Thanksgiving! Our weekend's been pretty good. Saturday we managed to clean the place, run some errands and get some writing done. Yesterday, I ran in my first 5K in nearly a year; I ran this race last year, and I managed to shave 45 seconds off my time and place fourth in my age group. Not shabby! A friend ran the race with me (her first race) and did well-- we went to our local deli afterward and I had some pumpkin pancakes. Also managed to get in two weight workouts this weekend.
Today we have to do laundry and I'll be talking via Skype to my little brother. Gorgeous day, too, so we'll try for a walk.
Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in Canada.
I am at work today while so many other people have the day off. Blah!
I had a fantastic weekend. I ended up having some great drinks at the reception/halloween party this weekend. I enjoyed myself a little to much. I was overdue though, it had been well over a year since I had a sip of alcohol.
Yesterday, DH and I slept until 10:00 (we were so overtired), and then went out to breakfast. It was a great morning. Then of course we picked up the boys because we did miss them so much.
And a total AW moment. Christian slept from 8:15 to 3:30 this morning, and Zach slept from 10:00 until 3:30 this morning. Boo Yah! We actually got some long stretches of sleep lastnight. Please don't let this be a tease!
Happy Thanksgiving Rayes!!
I unfortunately have school today unlike all the public schools here.
Over all I had a decent weekend. We had no major plans so we just took it easy and relaxed.
Happy Thanksgiving & Columbus Day!
I'm back from my weekend in Columbus... we had a great time! sreihing is really cool and sweet. I just love the school spirit in the US. There's nothing like it here at my alma mater (Univ of Toronto). I'll post a recap later.

Happy Thanksgiving.
I'm not doing anything today except some housework. Since Russ is at work (like usual) we are having turkey dinner when he comes home on the 22nd. I had a baby shower to go to yesterday, that's all I did all weekend. I think I'll be taking the boys to the park again today and for another walk. Maybe taking another look under the hood of the exploder and trying to replace a broken vacuum seal. Yay! (pure sarcasm.)
Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadian ladies! And Happy Columbus Day!
My mom is back staying with us for another week or so. We tried to get her on board to cook a turkey for us today, but she wasn't having any of it! Haha. Considering it was never a big holiday for us when I lived with them, I wasn't overly surprised. But it was worth a try to get a turkey dinner out of it :-)
Overall a pretty productive weekend. The weather was gorgeous, so we took advantage and went out for a guided London Walk around Westminster with my mom.
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
Happy Thansgiving and Columbus day to those celebrating htem today.
I'm at work. I'd rather be at home with a heating pad.
Our weekend was awesome. Lots of food and wine, which seems to be the norm lately. We saw Jim Gaffigan Saturday night, he was hilarious. I forgot my umbrella and we got drenched on the way to dinner. The waiter even offered Aaron a new, pressed shirt.
The restaurant was amazing and we probably would have never found it, if I didn't look them up when a Groupon was posted for them. Glad I did, we'll be going back.
Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian pals! Happy Columbus day to us US gals. I wish I had today off - after all, I live in Columbus! it's our day!
I'm still recovering from an incredibly full and awesome weekend - tailgating for the OSU game, dinner and a piano bar with Ringy and V, drinks to celebrate a dear friend's engagement, and my cousin's wedding.
it was so fun to meet sweet ringy girl! funny how you can get to "know" someone on a message board and be completely comfortable with them in real life. now I want to meet more naughties/nesties/knotticles, anyone else down for some OSU tailgating?
