Re: Your latest project?

  • Cooking!!  I picked a laundry basket full of apples from our trees this weekend so I made 3 huge pots of applesauce.  Just have to separate and freeze yet.

We've also been planning on doing once-a-month-cooking (OAMC).  Basically you plan out your meals for the entire month.  Spend a day cooking it and then stick it in the freezer and bring it out and warm it up/cook it the day you want it.

On top of all that, we've been doing lots of fall cleaning around the house and redoing our garage.

     Busy busy!

  • BRUCE. That crazy animal takes up most of my free time.

The next project I want to do is a backsplash in our kitchen, but we probably won't get there until 2011. I'm enjoying doing a lot of nothing lately :)

  • Nothing huge, just mostly organizational stuff like cleaning out cabinets, closets and drawers. I bagged up a bumload of clothing and jewelry for Easter Seals the other day and my dumb azz forgot to put the bag out by the curb. :( I have to call them & see how I can get the donation over to them. I guess planning our trip to FL is kind of a project too, and I bought the airfare tickets today. I just hope Mike's work doesn't give him a hard time about taking vacation.

  • Well I just finished my half marathon soooooooooo

My next project is finishing applying to the BTR and I'm also beginning to put together a bone marrow drive taking place in novemeber!

  • MOVING!  Packing, sorting, tying up loose ends etc...we are moving from New England to Maryland next month so all my spare time will be involved with that for now.  Also DH's best friend is getting married this weekend so its a busy week for that!

  • Well, work is always a major project!!

Trying to sell this condo is a HUGE project and the fun project...  Next month we are going to start TTC. Smile  I hope it happens fast, because at this point my son will just be turning 13 in June 2011.

  • Current project: waiting to find out if we get our house

    Future project: Hopefully packing/moving/decorating

  • I'm working on knitting (very slowly) a sweater for my newish niece for Christmas (she's 2 months now, will be 4 when I see her). I have the back done and have started the front. I've never done anything except scarves and hats so I may be Youtube-ing some instructions later . . .

I'm assembling my cookie and cake decorating inventory- I bought a set of cookie cutters last week and then my grandma gave me a bunch more, and I got my mom's piping tips and some extra bags! I can't wait to start baking! Paula's getting me inspired!

  • Let's see...

    a) Switching out my closets (putting away warm weather stuff, dragging out cooler weather stuff!)...

    b) Working on meal planning...I got a few more cookbooks at the festival I attended this morning, and I would like to start a project where I cook at least one new dish a week. I'm tired of making the same old stuff, and I know H is too, though he is way too sweet to ever say so :-)

    c) Getting the house ready for the holidays...it's always fun when it's all done, but it is a project getting the 'prep' work out of the way!

  • I need to finish our scrapbook from the wedding.  I started it over the summer, but have a long way to go yet.

I really need to get our apartment cleaned up and out.  We are having DH family over for dinner the week before Thanksgiving, and I cannot wait.

I've also been busy shopping for Christmas presents and getting things in order for the holidays.

Mel - once we get our cooking blog up and running, you HAVE to share these recipes!!!!!

  • My projects for the rest of the year......

    - My last class in grad school and then I graduate in Dec - yayyy!

    - Decorating our house - specifically - my next job is picking out curtains for every room

    - Cooking and reading through recipes and cooking blogs (it's kind of an obsession)

  • My current projects are cleaning house and decorating for our halloween party, making some halloween gifts for friends of the family, and making a costume for the dog (with her unique mixture... nothing store bought fits her).
