I couldn't swing a cat in the air in FL without hitting a cousin & Mike suggested we go and visit all the ones that couldn't make it up for the wedding since he hasn't met the majority of them yet.
We're flying into Orlando on a Saturday but we're immediately heading to the West Palm Beach area for the weekend so we can visit the cousins there first, with a possible stop in Hollywood as well. Then we're heading back to Melbourne to stay with my cousins there for the rest of the trip. My cousin's H in Melbourne is a CPA so I know at that time (mid April) he's going to be swamped; hopefully we'll be able to spend some time with him because Mike loves him.
I have a cousin in Naples too, and I'd have liked to make a side trip that way as well (and pop in on you!) but I think it's a 3.5 hour drive so it all depends on how much time we have and how much Mike can tolerate being in the car - we're going to play it by ear & I'll keep you posted. He'd have liked to stop in Spring Hill too, so we could see his niece and ex BIL, but that's a hike as well and he decided never mind (she comes up here every summer for 3 months anyhow).
Yeah Naples is about 3 hours from Orlando (I'm going next weekend so I can tell you for sure!). It's a really easy drive, though

I think Mike's a little down on the idea that I bought our tickets already because he's always worried about what will happen at his work (I wasn't passing up that price - I told him it's better than paying $800 for them in February). All we can do is hope they don't deny him vacation that week. I realize they're short staffed, but they get vacation time and should be entitled to take them. Plus spring isn't as busy as summer and fall so I'm sure they wouldn't die without him for one week out of 52.
