"Happy Monday, Nesties...How was your weekend?"

Hola! Hope everyone had amazing weekends! Once again, the weather here in MD was simply stellar!!!

Sat - went to "Colorfest" - a local festival put on by an entire town near the Catoctin Mountains (that is where Camp David, the Prez's weekend retreat is located) - it was a huge crowd, but the crafts, yard sales and food were amazing, and H and I had a great time!

Sun - Hung out with Mom in the first part of the day, and well, by now you guys know what I did with the rest of the day...Ravens, Baby!!!

How was your weekend??

Re: "Happy Monday, Nesties...How was your weekend?"

  • This day is flying by! We had a nice, laid back weekend. It's been a while since we had one with no parties, birthdays, etc. and Amanda was with her mom, so it was nice to lay around and watch football most of the time. Michigan got their azzes handed to them by Michigan State on Saturday (we're Michigan fans but I would have and should have put my $$ on State), we got a pizza for dinner while we watched the game then went over my cousin's to go in the hot tub and hang out. Sunday we watched our Lions blow out the Rams 44-6 for our first win of the season- I totally would have texted Danie with a big WOOHOO if I had her #! Dinner over my parents afterwards.

  • Hello!!!

Saturday - Oktoberfest at a local park with DH, BFF, BF of BFF, my parents, and my god parents. We had a blast! We spend the rest of the day at home sitting on the back patio, eating, drinking, and watching college football. It was great.

Sunday - Went to a craft/fall festival at a nearby town, and then it was football football football. My cowboys looked terrible so that was pretty sad. I was actually rooting for your Ravens, because my dad had them in his survivor pool this week. Glad that they had no problem with the Broncos!

I am definitely sad to see this weekend over, this is going to be a long week at work.

  • Morning...Er afternoon on the east coast....

I had a nice weekend DH and I went to CT on Friday for a friends Wedding and we were there till Sunday. I was a perfect weekend for a wedding and was beautiful all weekend! We had a great time and I enjoyed being a bridesmaid very much!

  • We actually had a very busy weekend.

Saturday, we went and picked up our album (wich is awesome) and then had lunch with my BFF.  Afterwards we went to the orchard and picked apples, then visited H grandma in the hospital.  We had dinner on the way home then I decorated my cupcakes for Sunday while hubby did laundry.

Sunday we got up early to show our album to parents then went to the annual family hayride.  It was about 85 degrees here yesterday, so it was pretty warm on the hayride.

  • Friday we watched the Phillies game (WHOOHOOO!)

Saturday we were around the house w/Reid and I did 4 loads of laundry, baked cupcakes to take to our friend's house to see the Flyers game; we stopped at my dad's and grandma's to visit since they live near our friend. I got a bunch of cake/cookie decorating stuff from my dad's and my grandma gave me a ton of cookie cutters and this really old piping tool in the original box that was her mom's! (My grandma is 90 so this thing is like 120 years old probably!)

Sunday we were lazy (DH had a REAL good time Sat night watching the hockey game) and I did some tidying up and made a delicious shrimp and scallop lasagna which will have to go in the food blog once it's going! And of course watched the Phils kick butt and advance to the NLCS!

  • Saturday was crazy busy!  I think I sat down for a total of 2 hours all day!  Grocery shopping, errands, dog to the dog park, packaging up meat for freezer, picking apples, take dog for a walk, reupholster a bench, make dessert for Sunday, paint part of our DIY storage unit.

Sunday..another day where I was on my feet!  We went to church, then I started to peel apples for my applesauce around Noon and didn't stop until about 7 p.m.!!  So many...my fingers look all gross from doing so many!!

I'm actually glad it is Monday so I can get a break from the busy home life!!

  • Saturday I made like a sloth - I woke up around 7am and parked myself on the couch for 5 back-to-back episodes of "Toddlers & Tiaras" on Netflix.  The dogs really enjoyed it.  Did a little cleaning, some laundry, and finally left the house at 8:30pm to pick up DH from the airport.

Yesterday was a day of catching up from my slothenliness.  We cleaned a lot, did more laundry, made a run to the grocery store, the fabric store (Halloween costumes!) and Home Depot for more closet organizing accessories, then MIL and her long-lost cousin stopped over for a visit.  Choir rehearsal last night, then tucked into bed at an almost reasonable hour!

  • My DH went out Friday, Saturday, and Sunday... So I did a lot of grading/resting.  My DS and I have been getting over being sick, so we rested.

Saturday, we had a showing, but they thought our price was too high...  We just dropped our price on Thursday and it is not too high at all.  So we went to some Halloween stores and my DS decided to be Freddy Krueger for Halloween.  We went to a nice dinner too.

Sunday, I had lunch with my mom and did school work.

And today I am off, so I saw a girlfriend at the park with her kids and ran some errands.  I am still not feeling great, so now I am on the couch for the day.  I really need to work though too.

  • Happy Monday from Cleveland!  I'm here for work this week...

     This weekend was pretty restful...

Friday - Hubby was at a college football game at night, so I went food shopping and watched TV.  I also bought a pretty fall wreath for my front door - awww my first wreath!!! LOL

Saturday - spent the day doing the usual cleaning around the house and I made beef soup in the crock pot to freeze for another time.  Hubby and I had a sushi date on Saturday night...and I finished packing up for this trip.

Sunday - went to the parents' for Sunday dinner....
