cleaning floors and issues
I used spic and span floor cleaner on my kitchen floor and now when my daughter crawls across the floor she gets brown spots on her knees. It's not like dirt it's more of a greasy/film type substance. I cleaned the floors using soap and water before using the other stuff but what did I do wrong? Today I mopped the entire floor again with just water to see if this still happens...
Re: cleaning floors and issues
I'd guess that it's the spic and span on her clothes. When you use that stuff, it's just left laying on the floor. It doesn't evaporate or soak in. That's why the floors are all shiny when you're done... there's a greasy residue left all over the floors.
Can't really say why it'd be brown though... I'd say either the spic and span is a color that makes brown when mixed with the color of your daughter's pants (yellow cleaner + pink pants = brown spots) or maybe the chemicals in the cleaner reacting to the dye in her clothes?
Either way, I'd skip the chemials and just use soap and hot water. It will do a better job cleaning anyway.
