Whats your favorite homemade kind?
When we take the kids trick or treating we kind of do a swap, we give the neighbors cookies. We do this because the places we go are the places I went when I was little, a few of them my parents even went to. All the cute old people love to have the kids give them a treat as a thank you for being there every year & they always really appreciate it.
I'd like to make a few different kinds this year to put into their goody bag & Im looking for ideas.

I have an easy recipe for swirl chip cookies. You use a marble cake mix to make a chocolate and vanilla swirled cookie with chocolate chips. Easy and a yummy twist on the regular chocolate chip.
Recipe:
1 marble cake mix
3 tbs water
1/3 c. oil
1 egg
Preheat oven to 350. Mix the vanilla part of the mix, the water, oil and egg by hand until blended. Stir in 1 c. chocolate chips.
Transfer 1/4 of the dough to a smaller bowl. Stir in 1 tbs. water and the chocolate packet from the cake mix.
Stir the chocolate dough into the vanilla just until it marbles. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes.
I also like gingersnaps and no-bake cookies!
So should I go ahead and put you guys on the list with Midge and Danielle for Christmas cookies again? (Yeah, they sort of placed orders already. LOL)
It's almost here! Weeeeeeee!

Lol, I love cookie monsters. Picky is not a good thing in my mind when cookies are brought into it.
Plus, BFF gave me some cookie cutters before the wedding... a jug of 100!! I can pretty much make ANY cookie shape now. And she gifted me some pastry bags and tips to make them all pretty and stuff.
You're on the list.

Me, me! I want in
I was actually thinking that we should do some type of Elfster cookie/Christmas exchange.
My faves are the peanut butter ones with the chocolate kisses on top (No matter how hectic the Christmas schedule gets, there is no way I get out of making those). H also loves Snickerdoodles, but I have yet to find a recipe I love for those.

oooh! I love cookies, too. Our favorite lately is a take on chocolate chip cookies. They also have oatmeal and pecans and they are so much fluffier than the standard recipe. They're SUPER good.
My favorite Christmas cookie on the other hand is called a Thumbprint. They're these small shortbread-esque base, rolled in pecans and have a dollop of frosting in the middle. The key here though is that the frosting is made with almond extract. SOOO good.
I'm up for a cookie exchange, too! I love to bake (and eat)!
Again, way late, but I would be totally up in participating in a cookie exchange. I think it might be a fun xmas thing..
