Dammit I cannot manage mutliple windows
i asked about immersion blenders on ML but I meant to ask here because I know a lot of you have them.
I don't even know what to look for. And then I thought the magic bullet was a vibrator, so that is throwing me off.
I want it for soups and baby food.
Any recs?
Re: Dammit I cannot manage mutliple windows
We have a magic bullet. We haven't used it for soups (we've just used the regular blender for soup) but we made all Will's baby food in it and it worked pretty well. We got it from BBB with one of their 20% off coupons and it was a reasonable price.

hmmm tempting.
Would it work for soups?
I only have a little 4 cup blender and the last time i made soup I had to blend a little at a time and i made the messiest kitchen ever.
I have the same problem with thinking that the "Rabbit" is a vibrator and not a wine opener. I was even more perplexed when I saw the electric Rabbit at BBB...it is very phallic in shape. I couldn't get the scene of Sex and the City, when they are at Sharper Image, out of my head.
Ma'am, Sharper Image doesn't sell vibrators.
Psh, what do you call this?
A personal massager.
Uh huh?
This is probably what you'd have to do with the magic bullet. It's just not big enough for a good-sized batch.

I have one of those cheap knock-off brands of the magic bullet that we got from a crazy family member as a wedding gift. I've used it a couple of times for smoothies and it works well, but you'd definitely have to do it in batches for soup.
Unless you're in the habit of cooking single servings of homemade soup, in which case you're good to go.
hmm, damn. oh well. I still want one. WAAAAANT.

Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
I have a Hamilton Beach immersion blender that I really like. I've had it for more than 10 years and it works like a charm.
