H is working and I'm sitting around doing nothing. Anyone have any funny/weird stories recently?
I have a silly one - last night we decided to be total tourists and go to Cheers in Faneuil Hall (downtown Boston - which has NOTHING to do with the real Cheers, just fyi) and the server was hitting on H so much it was hilarious. To the point he felt wicked uncomfortable - we ordered drinks and when she looked at his age she went on for a good 3 minutes on how he looks older and how she's 23 and "oh my god what school did you go to? *squeee*", I just sat and smiled and watched this train wreck LOL. The whole dinner she would find some stupid a$$ reason to touch his arm - too funny. Little did she know, I'm the breadwinner and I was paying. HA!
Now go, I want stories girls!
Re: I'm bored....tell me a story!
I've got one.
We took the kids to the local fair. In the animal section they had the incubator with the eggs & freshly hatched chicks. Jeff picks Camden up to show him.
J asks "Camden what are those" Camden- "Baby chickens, little chickies" in a very proud tone. J says "Yes they are & thats how we get chicken nuggets." Both kids jaws dropped to the floor. Camden then told all the other little kids looking at the little fuzz balls that they were going to be chicken nuggets.
I was kinda embarrased but I did have to choke back a giggle.
That is too funny! I can only imagine what kids of questions they asked their parents that night...
We had a carnival at work a couple weeks ago and the PTO rented a Porta Potty for the event.
My kindergarteners were outside at the time it was delivered and one of the girls said "Hey Mrs. M*** Look! It's a Porka Potty!"
I replied ya it is isn't it, but it's a Portta Potty (with emphasis on the t's).
She looks at me disgusted and says, "You don't know anything. It's a PORKA POTTY. And turned the other way."
She's a cutie.
And I just got the proofs from my TTD shoot that turned out to be more of a Rock the Dress. She made me jump on the trampoline in my dress and I am cracking up at my facial expressions.

Is it a full size bus or one of those short ones like you see for preschools and daycare centers? Yikes, I think I would be freaking too.
I am not sure about the parallel parking thing. I think I would just drop the kids off and find a different place to park. I would be scared to do it, too. Hell, I am not the greatest at it with my own car.
Oh it's a full sized bus. I can drive the short bus no problem. I almost took out a pedestrian sign today, but that is about the only trouble I had. I was super nervous, but once I got into it, it wasn't too scary.
Oh, and I guess the parallel parking they talk about in the book is not for buses. Which is awesome, because I was dreading that.
