What's for dinner tonight?

We're making turkey burger sliders with a chipotle mayo (DH's request) and  garlic fries using our new toaster oven.  We'll have a few Longboard's with dinner.

Re: What's for dinner tonight?

  • Im making PF Changs for 2 frozen Beef & Broc with Rice & California Rolls

DH has a meeting after work!! And with my OCD and trying to unpack it should be a frozen dinner week!!

  • grown up chicken tenders and fries. I call them grown up because its a breadcrumb, herb and parmesan breading.
  • DH's taking me to my fav restaurant since its our 1 month - how sweet is he!

  • We're having tacos.  I cooked up the meat last night so all Matt has to do is warm it up before I get home.  He gets home before me and has been doing all of the cooking.  It made me feel good to be able to make it ahead of time.

  • J's nephew & his wife are coming over tonight, so we're making a (very, very) basic chicken parm. This should be interesting. :)

  • We have chicken out defrosting...we will probably have that with some asparagus and rice?? Not sure...but that sounds good to me!

I'm trying to get back on track with the eating and working out. Since the wedding we've been drinking and eating like it's our wedding every day...not good!

  • After bootcamp, we are going out for Taco Tuesday!! Sam gets delicious carne asada tacos, while I try to be healthy and get grilled mahi mahi.

     Mmmmm.....Longboards...

  • We're obsessed with Real Simple and this month's issue had a 4-week new food menu! Tonight we're trying Ravioli with Brussels Sprouts and Bacon (http://www.realsimple.com/food-recipes/browse-all-recipes/ravioli-brussels-sprouts-bacon-00000000041503/index.html).

  • tonight: rigatone with a light cream sauce and chicken and brocolli

tomorrow: parmigan dijon crusted chicken breasts, mashed potatos, zuchini

    thursday: make your own pizzas

friday: shrimp and veggie stir fry with brown rice

  • Jeremy gets leftovers from last night (green bell pepper chicken, asparagus, and corn) and I'll probably eat a salad once I get home from baby-sitting or do a quick carnation thing if it's too late to eat.

  • This weekend was Thanksgiving here (Canadian!) so tonight is leftover turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, squash, cranberry sauce, stuffing, etc. Yummmm.... (though by the end of the week I'm sure I'll be tired of turkey!)
  • Hmmm... Not too sure tonite. Probably something 'frozen and put in the oven' kinda thing b/c we are desperately in need of groceries and I cooked chicken broccoli stuffing last night. What everyone else has posted sounds really yummy though. Maybe we shold start a weekly menu type thread? That might be a good idea. :)

  • All of you are amazing, seriously. Everything sounds delicious. I have no idea what's for dinner tonight, last night was lasagna.

It's so hard for me to find the energy to cook after work, but I just found a bunch of amazing recipes on Cooking Light's website and I'm going to try them out after I go grocery shopping tomorrow. We just have no food at this point. Gotta get creative...

  • I agree with doing a weekly menu thread...I cook a lot, but I could sure use some new recipes!  Gotta spice things up!!! :p
