made anniversary plans!

Hi ladies!! First of all, I miss you gals a TON! The client site I've been on since June blocks TN :-( so I hardly have any time to hop on. I hope everyone is doing well and had a wonderful first year of wedded bliss! And I'm so excited for all of the Octobabies that are on the way ;-)

After much hemming and hawing (we wanted to take a big trip, but it just wasn't in the financial stars) we've planned a long weekend getaway to Berkeley Springs, WV! I've heard so many good things about the town and it should be gorgeous with the leaves changing. We're staying at a B&B and if the weather cooperates (cross your fingers!) we're going to go horseback riding, hiking and hit up all the fabulous little antique shops in town. I can't WAIT! What is everyone else doing? (or what did you do, for those of you who've already celebrated!)

Re: made anniversary plans!

  • Sounds like a good time!  Have fun!

We went to Vegas last month as an early anniversary gift.  We'll be having a nice dinner at home on our anniversary.

Now, I'm off to google Berkeley Springs!  Sounds interesting!

  • We had dinner last night at the restaurant where we had our reception.  As a kind of belated celebration, we're going to French Lick Resort next weekend.  I only say "kind of" because we're primarily going there for me to do research for an architecture and interior design project--we'll still have lots of fun, though!

  • We just got back from our anniversary weekend at Presque Isle Bay in Erie, PA. We had a great time! We went on a ghost walk Saturday night and on Sunday we visited around town and went to a pumpkin patch. It was a nice relaxing weekend. Now it's back to more relaxing at home!

  • We went to dinner at a nice restaurant for our anniversary (which was also my birthday).  Then two days later, we had a separate birthday dinner with my son and his fiancee (who weren't available on the actual day).

I love Berkeley Springs!  I used to go out there a lot with the kids when they were young. Be sure to check out the springs themselves.  You can go there and get a nice massage and a Roman bath, and the prices were quite reasonable the last time I was there.

  • Our anniversary is this coming weekend, so I took Friday off work to relax, sleep in, and get some things done at the house.  Saturday we are going to do some shopping downtown, we have dinner reservations at a nice place downtown, then we are spending the night at hotel downtown, too.  hehe  We're excited for the night away and being relaxed.  We are both in school so we don't have any way to take time off from that for a longer vacation, but next year we're planning on going back to the place we honeymooned at.
