Vikings tailgaiting?
My mom and step-dad are visiting from out of town this weekend and treating us to a Vikings game (they're big Cowboys fans). They are interested in tailgating before the game, but I have no idea where to go for that, or how it works... I've never been to a Vikings game before (and I haven't even been to the Metrodome in about 10 years).
I looked briefly online, and it sounds like there are "official" tailgating lots that you have to buy season's passes for. Obviously we're not interested in a season pass...
Anyone have any info/suggestions on where to go/how this works? I'm clueless...

The seaon ones are for season ticket holders and what not... you will usually need a pass-- my recomendation is to go early and drive around a little bit... read the signs for parking- many say specifically NO TAILGATING.
We paid 20- for a lot and upon opening the tailgate of the truck a guy in a suit told us no. we got no refund and weren't able to drink.
Get plastic bottles of beer, or pre-mix drinks in plastic bottles, park somewhere and walk to the plaza... everyone was drinking there, many had their own- there are also vendors- and just drink and enjoy there- they have music, food, also drinks for purchase. we had our own drinks and we did not get talked to by anyone about brining our own-- the parking lot right next to this area is a tail-gate lot so many people drinking all around the area... Just kind of join in the fun!
