Etsy purchase...

I used Etsy for 5 different purchases for WR items and I loved all my products and had the sweetest sellers and everything went great. 

An acquaintance on FB  ordered a tutu for her daughter's first birthday, so I asked her for the seller and planned on buying on for Zoe's birthday outfit.  I shopped around a lot before I message the seller, but this seller had great items so why not.  

I messaged her Sept 23 and told her I planned on having Zoe wear it for her first pictures and I needed the pictures printed before her birthday at the end of Nov.  She quickly emailed back and said her turnaround is 2-3 weeks and it shouldn't be a problem.

I convo'd her on Friday to see the status because I want to book the portrait session by the end of Oct.  She never messaged back.  I looked at her feedback before I bought the item, but I didn't notice any of the negatives.  Yesterday, I found TONS of negative reviews from her!! Oh no!! Most of them are about her ignoring emails and ppl waiting 2 months for items.  One lady bought the same thing I did, and said how poor the quality was.  Another said how the seller is full of lies and she was fighting to get her money back from paypal because she never received her stuff at all.  There's about 30 reviews, and she's had 2700 sales. (Obviously very busy.)

 I'm super worried now.  WWYD? I'm waiting until tomorrow to message her in case she was away this weekend, but I doubt I'd get my money back, let alone an answer.  Anyone have a bad experience with Etsy?

  • :/ ive never had a problem but ive only ordered a few things from etsy. i hope it all works out for you...id definitely give her a few days to respond since it was a holiday weekend

  • Agree with Kim...give it a day or two.  Sorry to hear about that...I only made a few purchases from Etsy and never had a problem with anything.  Hope it all works out ok!!!

  • If you can't get a hold of her, talk to Paypal (if that's how you paid her) and you request a refund through their process.
