I want to try something new for dinner, maybe a little romantic. H and I love picnics but it's a little too cold to have one outside so I thought tonight for dinner we would do an indoor one.
Only problem is, I have no idea what I should make. Suggestions?
Re: Indoor Picnic?
Hmm.. not really sure. Once me & My Husband wanted mexican food but wanted to go on a picnic so we had mexican food at the park lol.
What about something warm like a panini and some macaroni salad or something? I am trying to think of something like a picnic.
Well, H passed out on the couch as soon as he got home and hasn't moved since so it's looking like the picnic will have to wait until I have another night off from work.
I love doing more involved dinners because I'm home alone during the days when I don't work so I have plenty of time but I wouldn't be opposed to something easier.
All I have are ground beef and chicken breasts in the fridge/freezer right now. I saw a post or two on WC about a chicken taco thing? that you make in the crock pot.
I'm trying to think of things that we can eat with our hands/feed each other. I know I'm doing to do a chocolate fondue as a desert but I have no idea what else.
Here is the recipe I have for Taco Soup:
2 lbs of ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 packet taco seasoning
1 packet ranch dressing
1 can Ro-Tel tomatos
5 cups diced tomatos
1 can cream style corn
1 can niblet corn
1 can red kidney beans
1 can pinto beans (optional)
Tostitos chips
grated cheese
sour cream
Brown ground beef and onion. Drain. Stir in taco seasoning and ranch mix. Simmer 45 minutes. Serve with cheese, sour cream and chips
